Bidding War For Quinn?

He constantly posts clueless ****, no one can pound sense / facts into him

Apparently its better to keep an aging veteran, who makes a good amount of money, AND doesn't fit the scheme we will be running than it is to acquire future picks for players that will be on the team in 3-5 years
Travis, he's just trying to get a rise outta everyone. Posting crazy sh*t, then sitting back and watching.

I like to look at the five million fins agreed to shoulder as split over the four years of the contract of the player we will select with the pick we received. If the best players to be available in the 4th round this year were free agents right now, Im fairly sure they would be paid at least 2.5 million per season. If we had to pay 1.25m per year to receive the pick and we actually pay the player 750k, that's 500k of savings per year provided by the trade. If it's money we couldn't entirely roll over to 2020 that's an additional benefit.

Another Draft pick for 2020!!!! :woot:

Pretty soon there will be no need to tank for Tua

the team with the first pick will probably need a QB and the competition for the #1 will be stiff

The whole idea they are building for next year is repulsive.

The fact they have a gall to ask the owner to pay millions of dollars to a departing player, millions of dollars for a pick, and that the owner is willing rach for his pocket and give away cash, is idiotic.

This whole Quinn thing is so stupid on so many levels. Morons gonna moron.
Who the hell smokes crack these days ?

Draft picks are a poop shoot so putting all this leverage into 2020 along with having a rookie head coach is taking a huge, huge gamble.

It will at minimum take 3 years to expect any improvement enough to determine if we got the right coach and QB.

When Gase got here we had enough players to build with along with a QB capable of playing in the NFL enough to determine if Gase was good enough by year 3.

Giving Flores the same consideration as Gase and to expect him to groom a rookie QB with no offensive or defensive lines is asking alot in just 3 years. We could easily become the Browns for the next 5 years if this experiment doesn't work out.

Who the hell smokes crack these days ?

You got that right. They are smoking crack over there in Davie, or cocaine, we have the video proof.

In what world is Robert Quinn not good enough for the Patriots scheme as an edge? Only in the world of cocaine sniffing Davie dwellers. Dude'a played DE all his career.
Now all of a sudden he can't play even tho he had same production as Trey Flowers last year, and who got paid more than Quinn is making.

But hey, let's sniff some coke with Chris Grier, let's scrap the edge position, and let's pay cash. millions of dollars to do that, dish it out to Quinn so he can play elsewhere, let's move out of sixth round into a seventh round, let's get a fourth round pick, and that will help us solve the roster, because Robert Quinn cannot play DE in our scheme.

Come on man!

We could easily become the Browns for the next 5 years if this experiment doesn't work out.

And we can just as easily go 8-8 for the next 5 years if we carry on what we're doing. I give props to the guys for wanting to try something.

Dolphins can't truly contend for the Lombardi trophy until at least 2022. If there were 5 more affordable studs on the team right now, it may have made sense to pony up for a legit short term qb option and go for the gold. Turns out, Belichick is still with the pats and we have too little talent to top that. I'd rather have the pick now than roll the dice on whether Quinn is still helping us in 2022.

Lol talking about Justin Houston as a player to sign, then thinks Jamie Collins is a 3-4 OLBER.

L.M.F.A.O

Mods, get rid of this guy.

You don't like Justin Houston on the EDGE? Go get Parnell McPhee You don't like him? Go get Adrian Clayborn who played for Flores last year. Go get somebody else for the edge who is to your liking in FA.

Jamie Collins is perfectly fine as Kyle Van Noy OLB in the Patriots scheme. And they would need the type.

But if you say nobody in FA is to our liking and we will get a guy in the draft to play edge, and he will be just the way we want it, then you are full of it. It's a waste of resources. There is not one guy who can play DE, and there are very few in this draft to pick from.

Certainly will not happen this year, most probably not next year and if this is the correct solution for the past 20 year maybe just maybe if we are lucky until year 3 we go 8 8. If not there is a distinct possibility of becoming the Browns for awhile.

The Browns have a distinct advantage over the phins. They are located in Cleveland where football fans show up at the games even if the team plays poorly. Miami fans just don't show up for a poor or medocre product.

Might end becoming the Maine Mainlanders in the long run rather than the Miami Dolphins.
