If I were a pro athlete and I got hurt doing something prohibited per my contract, I would just insist that it happened during sex.

Twists, tears, fractures, massive road-rash lacerations, burns... whatever.

Just keep mumbling something about how it was, "Amazing, Coach. You shoulda been there." Then casually drop into the conversation that you were alone at the time.
