thats good but ive read that if he files for bankruptcy we might have to give him up to free agency!!! can anyone confirm this?

Why do I have a feeling that RW will UNRETIRE?

BTW.....if we lose his rights..we would still get the money..because any team signing him would have to pay us the money first......

It doesn't matter anyway because we are not losing his rights.

its in his contract.... if he was overpaid and had a horrible year and was scheduled to make a TON of money, think he would give it back? or keep it because it was in his contract even though he didnt deserve it?

contracts are binding.

What would be Ricky's motive for not filing for Bankruptcy? I mean, he wouldn't have to pay back the money and he could then be a free agent. I know his credit would be screwed for years to come but do you think he's going to care if hes got millions? They can't get the money back after he declares for bankrupcy right?
 
SOmehow I think Ricky owes more than money to this team. He screwed us pretty badly...Doesn't the NFL credit us with any picks for losing our foundation and not getting anything in return?

Not really wrong, because Miami gave up 2 first round picks to acquire Ricky and all that went with him. If New Orleans were willing to give a pick back for cash I'm sure Miami would be all over it!!!!!!
 
He has a judgement NOW.....If he got a contract from somebody...that team would have to PAY US THE MONEY FIRST.....

His rights wll be ours also....watch.

I agree. No way does the NFL want to see his rights taken away from Miami in this type of a situation. A contract has to protect the team from this type of situation. I'm sure Wicky will try to use his rights as leverage though at this point....but he'll lose again on that too IMO
 
I don't care if we lose his rights. He's broke, and on drugs and a punk-azz-quiter. I hope he goes to NE or NYJ then we can beat on him and pick up his fumbles.

there's a lot of misinformed, misdirected anger here. i don't think atrain40 is out of line on the NO money. that doesn't make any sense. now what the team paid him in incentives, hell yeah, they should get this back. some people here are acting like they are allowed to write checks out of wayne's bank account.
 
and ricky's rights aren't going anywhere. he won't have to pay the money back if he reports. he'll report next year, the team will trade him, and that will be that. where are all these crazy rights questions coming from? his rights have nothing to do with this ruling at all.
