SkapePhin said:All I was saying is that both Brees and Rivers would be more seasoned and primed for a playoff run than any guy we would get from the Draft.. You agree or disagree with that asessment? Wouldnt Rivers be more seasoned than a Rookie? That was my statement.
phunwin said:Not exactly a big shock, but I hope we've got the cap room and the trade ammo to take one of them on. (By the way, the first person to get mad at me for throwing AJ Feeley under the bus is getting shot at sunrise. Fair warning.)
Hey, is anyone else freaked out by that mole Brees has? Looks like a fungus growing on his cheek. You'd think with the money he has, he could get that thing lasered or something.
DreamWeaver said:College is just that...college. All signs point to Rivers sitting this season again. Now I am not saying that Feeley is a world-beater BUT he will have every opportunity to prove himself this year. If he doesn't he's gone.
IF, Rivers plays this year then Brees will be the one who hits the road. San Diego will not let their starter for the majority of this season go.
so-long-Ricky said:The sad thing about this whole situation is Brees shouldn't even be a Charger......Miami should have drafted him back in 2001 instead of Fletcher.
I remember watching the draft w/a freind that happened to be a Miami fan. He was all excited that Drew was still available towards the end of the round and thought for sure Miami would draft Drew.....needless to say he was extremely pissed off w/the pick.
The front office definitely dropped the ball on that one....
LAMiamifan said:You're in the same boat kiddo... cmon Losman is a goat. He couldnt even make the UCLA starting roster so he had to run off to a crappy midmajor... what makes you think he's any good
baalworship said:Losman would have been the eventual starter at UCLA. He left UCLA because he lived so close to the stadium that he felt like he was still in college. Losman is not the first person that wants to leave their hometown for college, and he won't be the last. I remember needing to get away myself when I got out of high school. My attitude was anywhere but here!
As for having to run off to a mid-major, that's wrong. Losman was recruited and visited Tuland and Miami. Losman chose Tulane over Miami. Is Miami (Fl) a mid-major?

SkapePhin said:Ummm.. He probably chose Tulane over Miami because he had no chance of cracking the starting lineup at UM.. Yet, at a midmajor, he could.
Yoda said:Discuss this another 1,000 times we must not. Redundant is has become.
losman couldnt crack the lineup at the Ubaalworship said:Losman would have been the eventual starting QB at any major college program he wanted to attend. Sorry we got a guy that is eager to play, I am sure that Feeley doesn't know what that is like....
