BRown Or MCgahee???

wow...so much anger, lol.

Right now, I'd say Willis is better b/c Ronnie is completely unproven, and if Willis is even close to his college days he is easily a top 10 back in the league (I watched alot of Canes games, and some of the things he can do just blew me away).

However, I think he and Ronnie will be very close within a year or two...Ronnie and McGahee really remind me of each other, style-wise, and with their obscene size and speed combos, but I'd have to give Ronnie the slight edge due to his spectacular recieiving abilities. Both teams should be very happy, as they both have absolute studs in the backfield (if both stay healthy, they both have the talent to become top 5 elite guys IMO).

As for the Losman debate (which i feel like i ought to address, its all over this thread lol), IMO he will struggle this year due to inexperience, but will get better and has some nice talent. I was lobbying for him somewhat during the draft, and he should be a rather solid QB in the future (though hopefully not against us, lol)

My "depths-o-meter" is starting to go off- I feel a relocation on the way.

He would have been a top 10 pick were it not for his knee injury against OSU. RB is bigger and faster and a more polished receiver, however, Mcgahee has better vision. If he had come out in this draft he would have been a notch above Cedric Benson IMO.

MaGahee is a STUD!
He will surpass any RB that was drafted in 2005.
Both in this upcoming year and overall career assuming all remain relatively healthy.

How can you make such a definitive statement until the top 3 drafted this year even get a chance to play. I liked McGahee coming out of college, but let's not annoint him the second coming of Jim Brown just yet.

:laughat:

Watch and see: Kelly Holcomb will be starting for the Bills by week 10. Losman rubs people the wrong way, a la Ryan Leaf.

Do you have any NFL stats to prove that Losman is better?

I didn't think so.

He couldn't be much worse...

Feeley was last in the AFC in rating

couldn't resist.

No , but the premise of the thread is that an unproven Rb w/ so much potential is better than a proven rb. while Losman who just like Brown has so much potential is worse than an unproven qb who recently showed that he sucks? Feely has been in the league for 5 years now and if you grade his performance so far, he's been nothing but a below average qb.

Must be teal/orange glass wearing finfan logic.

I think Ronnie will be better, or Mcgahee will be better.

Who knows?

I honestly believe that they'll both be top 5 consistently.

They're both solid starters.

If I were drafting and Willis didn't hurt his knee, I think I would have taken him over Ronnie.

But he hurt his knee and I'm thrilled with Ronnie.

McGahee was clearly the superior player before the knee injury vs. Ohio State. I don't think it's debatable. McGahee will never regain his form prior to that screen pass. I also don't think it's fair to label a running back overrated after a severe knee injury. If you're comparing him to his former self, he's forever overrated by definition.
