Embarrassing for the Dolphins. Cardinals are not contending for anything. He was here and Miami was his hometown. Well respected. Not a good look for the organization that he didn't want to stay here in his hometown. DL remains a huge need. This one stings on more than one level:

Umm it got out that he had a handshake deal last season to get released when we were eliminated from the playoffs.

#1 Grier and McDaniel are cucks for even agreeing to that. Another example of why our organizational culture is in the garbage.

It may not be embarrassing but it definitely sucks. Him gone, 1 starting caliber DT, Chubb and Phillips coming back off two huge injuries (hmm, let me guess what's gonna happen) above average linebackers, 1 starting caliber CB and maybe 2 halfway decent safeties... lmao. And people actually think we are going to be good?

so much for our A+ team graded report card for keeping him here. my 2 cents picking arizona over us is embarrassing. they also graded out about the worst in the NFL on that player survey, and he still prefers that to being in miami. having said all of that, i do not hold it against the guy, always liked him as a player, and hope he does well out there. the upside, maybe having a sucky defense is a purposeful plan to make nobody want to hire weaver away from us?

the only rationale i can come up with is either he wasnt coming here if we went to 6.5mm so it didnt matter or it is a purposeful strategy to have our defense suck so nobody wants to hire weaver away!

It is an odd move, even if they go big DT 1st rd. Sieler and Campbell as mentors would have been a good thing. I don't think for Campbell's production he was breaking the bank.
