Only way we should sign him is on a vet minimum, which is not likely.....or a performance based contract with incentives highly based on how much he is on the field.

Kyle votes pass, but doesn't think it will impact the Ramsey situation.Kyle Crabbs with his take on it, haven't listened yet, just getting the link out there

His base salary is 16,300,000 a year. Anyone thinking he will take vet minimum are dreaming or drunk....or both![]()
He’s either being advised poorly or he is a moron, he will get next to no guaranteed money. I don’t think he will have a very strong market unless it’s a cheap deal with incentives based on playtime. He’s missed 50% of games over the last 4 seasons, only the desperate will be interested in him. Yes, that includes the Dolphins.Apparently the Pack had a trade agreed to "with another AFC East team" ( edit - it was the Bills) and it fell through because Alexander would not take a pay cut to facilitate it. Crabbs is basically saying it's all about the price point for the Phins, whatever deal he takes is probably going to be a one year prove it deal . Incentives based on playing time is a phrase Alexander and his agent should get used to hearing.
Exactly we got a Russell Wilson situation now. Packers are covering his salary and any team he plays for would just come out of the cap hit he’s already got.Correction: his cap hit WAS 16.3 million. When the packers releas him so his base is currently $0. He’s missed 20 of the last 34 games the packers have played and 34 of the last 68 in the last 4 years. That contract value is long gone.
He needs to sign a one year deal and not only make it through an entire season without injury but play at a high level if he ever wants to see anything close to that number again. Maybe get min is low but again sitting out and not playing won’t help his value either.
I agree with that @Springveldt , assuming said player wants to remain with their current team. Maybe he wants out of The Frozen Tundra, looking for a fresh start, who knows. Fitting that you mention B. Chubb, Alexander is repped by Roc Nation , same agency as Chubb, perhaps they'll eventually counsel him to adjust his expectations. He’s either being advised poorly or he is a moron, he will get next to no guaranteed money. I don’t get players not taking a pay cut when the next option is being cut when you won’t have a strong market. Chubb had the foresight to see that and stay in Miami, meanwhile X didn’t and is no longer in the league.
