It's easy to dismiss because being the best receiver on the Dolphins from 2001-2005 is about as impressive as being the valedictorian of summer school, to quote Jim Mandich.

Jay Fiedler's the best QB the Dolphins have had since Marino retired. Let's bring him back, and pay him a ton of money while we're at it. Same logic applies.

You do realize that Chad Johnson and Steve Smith has been playing with the same starting QB over the past 4 years. It's called continuity and familiarity. Something Chambers has not had with any starting QB here in Miami. Not only has he had to deal with a new starting QB each of those years but with a new offensive coordinator as well.

While Chambers has had only one 1,000 yard season he did come close the two previous years prior to that one.
 
good news all around! we are attempting to dump Chambers and Joey Porter is most likely coming here

By you saying Jay Fiedler's the best QB since Marino says more about the state of the entire Dolphins offense the past 4-5 years as opposed to one player.
 
Give CC one more year and move him around from slot to split end to flanker and you may well see him flourish. If he doesn't and we have a lousy season then we need some draft picks tohelp re-build.
 
Trade Him!

Trade him to an NFC team for a 2nd/3rd round pick
 
Although CC makes some great catches, I really wouldn't miss him, I agree, if we can get some high picks for him, and maybe trade up for Quinn, we should be alright...
 
i like cc but if we can get a first for him i'd do it. we aint gonna win until we have sumone who produces consistenly

Chambers isnt an elite WR like Johnson or Smith but very few teams have an elite WR. Every team in the NFL has a #1 Wr on their depth chart, and only a handful have a WR of Johnson or Smiths caliber. People need to stop being dumb thinking #1 WR = Elite WR because they arent one and the same. Of course we'd all love a Chad Johnson on our team but is a lot easier said than done. If it were as easy as some of you make it seem every team would have an elite WR.
