College Coaching Changes

Yeah Tubs to Cincy seems like a backwards move. Definitely a head-scratcher.

And anyone to Colorado is a backwards move as well. Nobody wants to coach there. Very, VERY bad program sitting in the middle of a recruiting wasteland. They can't recruit the kids from California like they used to in the 90s.

Hawkins got some good recruits there in his short time, he just couldn't coach them up. Darrell Scott, Jon Major, Nick Kasa, and Lynn Katoa were all 5* guys. Colorado's problem is they are broke.

As for Tubbs, turns out he and his wife never liked Lubbock and made no secret about the fact. Tommy just really wanted to get back into coaching and went after a job that had been consistently good. But the last 2 years he was actively campaigning for other open jobs

Under the radar hire: Steve Addazio to BC. That's a good hire, he's a good coach. Looks like Charlie won't be getting away from him when we move to the ACC.

With the Wisconsin job openning up, Pitt fans better run for their Tums and Malox. They might be searching for a coach...again.

Time to bump this bad boy.

Steve Sarkisian has left Washington to be the new head coach at USC. Sark was OC at USC with Lane Kiffin under Pete Carroll.

Al Groh has also resigned from Wake Forrest.

Current openings are Washington, UConn, Wake, Miami Ohio, FAU, and Wyoming

Washington IMO is between current DC Justin Wilcox and UCLA coach Jim Mora Jr. Mora Jr has said in the past that if the job opened up he'd be first in line to apply for the job. Reports are he WAS in Seattle last night. Other names to get consideration include Colorado State HC Jim McElwain, Alabama OC and former Washington OC Doug Nussmeier.

Ed Orgeron was reportedly outraged that he didn't even get an interview for the USC job and plans on applying for the FAU and Wake Forrest openings. Personally I think those are good schools to go to for him. He needs to go to a smaller school with lower expectations if he wants to be a head coach again, especially after his awful tenure with Ole Miss.

Other FAU candidates include Cincy OC Eddie Gran and Florida State TE Coach/Former Golden Gopher Head Coach Tim Brewster.

While Coach O is reportedly going to apply for the Wake job, Wake will also reportedly look at Kirby Smart (Bama DC), Pat Narduzzi (Michigan State DC), Pete Lembo (Ball State Head Coach), and Chad Morris (Clemson OC)

Miami Ohio is likely to offer the job to Notre Dame OC Chuck Martin

Reportedly Jeff Brohm is getting an interview at FAU.
 
Chuck Martin accepts MIami OH job. I knew Don Treadwell would fail when he hired John Klacik as OC. He was head coach at Lock Haven while I was in school. Guy was an ass and a poor coach
