Compelling proof that Cogs is not racist -- tho he uses racial language in an NFL way

I totally understand where you're coming from...I was simply backing up the Ops point of how this kind of talk is commonplace in locker rooms, I'm not condoning the use of it in a disrespectful manner. I get the difference in how it is used.
yeah , but all these people tryin to rationalize incognito's voicemail to dissprove the racist intent , is wayyy out of line .

I think they're trying to say what Richie said is technically a racist comment but Richie doesn't hate black people or think he's better than black people...I think that's what they were trying to say but I did skim thru a lot of posts in the middle pages of the thread so I might have missed something.

It was a racist comment. He may not be a racist but that will not help his case at all if it is deemed he isnt a racist. The act has already been committed

It's your opinion that it was a racist comment. And you have every right to your opinion :). But just cause you think one way doenst make it the law. If Martin comes out and confirms he was not offended is it still racism?

In the end you might just end up being right. Truthfully there is a good chance you are. But until Martin comes out and confirms he feels Incognito was harassing him, its all just speculation and opinions.

What I'm afraid of is this whole week's events turning into "The Dolphins locker room has Racists in it! Jeff Ireland thought Dez Bryant's mom was a prostitute! Then he brings in Incognito that N-Bomb-Dropping Troublemaker! What will they do next???!!!"

We'll have to wait for Martin to present his full case, but man... things just aren't looking good for Mr. Ross.

but how do these people that's defending him , know if hes racist or not ....... they don't know him personally . their just defending him because hes one of the better lineman on the team an the team is worst off without him . it sad what some of these fan wiil tolerate for the sake of football , the only evidence we have of incognito being a racist or not is HIS OWN VOICEMAIL .

I see your point although we can even go one step further. If JM doesnt find it offensive (we should all assume that he does given he submitted the VM's as evidence) but another black person does, is he a racist? I mean thats expanding this umbrella far more than I would like and getting away from the true case.

The definition of racist is a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another. With that being said, by definition we cannot ascertain if Ingocnito is a racist or not.

Exactly, at this point is unfair to say Incognito is flat out a racist. Again, in the end he just might be. By right now we are all just speculating one way or another. Dont convict a man until we know he comitted the crime.

Whats funny i honestly am not defeding Richie, just think people need not crucify him just yet. This story is far from over and much more will come out that will sway peoples opinions once maybe even twice.

The issue with Incognito is that his rap sheet is pretty damn long. He has a LOT to prove his innocence in the eyes of most people in the football circles. Just the nature of the game. If you don't want to labeled a overly angry meathead, then maybe you shouldn't act like one and repeatedly at that?

It's kind of like if your wife cheated on you and you took her back but she did it more than once and you kept taking her back. Wouldn't you get suspicious and look over your shoulder and potentially overreact if something looked fishy?

Fair enough point. No doubt, RI has acted like quite the douchebag in his career. But....I am sceptical to ever acuse anyone of being a Racist Bully without proof. Those are big claims.

It goes back to what I said yesterday. RI didn't respect football or the NFL. It's apparent. Whether you want to be a role model or not, once you lace up and step on the field, you are. That means you should conduct yourself in a manner that respects what the game has given you. I can't speak for everyone on here but I think if the Devil (for example purposes) came to you like the mercedes commerical and said " hey I can make you an NFL player with some longevity" like he did Tom Brady, that many of us would at least think for a second about it. Many of us would kill to make the money and life the life and most importantly play a game that we love. It's apparent he didn't give a ****. He was basically a complete overbearing dickbag that preyed on people he could push around. I have seen people like him and they are completely doucebags that eventually get a reality check sooner or later and it isn't nice.

Incognito didn't respect what his god given gifts were able to obtain for him and he is going to pay for it. If he wanted to talk and act like that for gods sake man, do it in your own home and away from situations where someone can film you or rat you out. Just common sense. What I am beginning to wonder since the apple doesn't fall far from the tree is that if Incognito was raised this way and he 1) doesn't think he acts this way 2) doesn't care or 3) all the above? I really really feel sorry for those people.
