Easily Matt Turk or Morlon Greenwood

Morlon Greenword has a nice sense of humor. When he was signing my hat, I told my friend who doesn't watch much Fin football "Hey watch this guy, future Pro Bowler!" This was his rookie year and he just replied "Haha, who knows man."

I knew Randy McMike in undergrad and he was always pretty cool. I've seem him a couple of times since he got drafted and he's still acted the same.

I would love to have some Dolphin memorabilia like a signed picture. Can any of you guys help me out. Ebay being the obvious one i guess but i was wondering if there was any specialised outlets that do overseas shipping.?

I've gotten to meet a lot of people, not too many Fins.

Dan Marino's kids go to my school. I don't think he's a particularly nice guy just from the way he carries himself, but I've never tried to approach him because I haven't had a reason to.

Josh Beckett seems awful because he's not a fan of the press, but he's actually really, really, really cool. I stayed in the team hotel by coincidence last year in Arizona when I went out there to see them, so I met a bunch of guys. My dad was getting a massage at the hotel one morning and Beckett was next, so he was coming in as my dad was going out. Later that day, we're sitting in the lobby and Josh comes out, notices my dad, stops to talk to us about how he likes his head rubbed and why we were out there and stuff. It was really cool of him just to stop and talk for a good 5-10 minutes.

Other guys I met out there: Lenny Harris is as cool in real life as he seems with the team. He's just a good guy. Alex Gonzalez and Luis Castillo were both very polite. Jim Mecir was pretty funny...scared the crap out of Guillermo Mota by grabbing him from behind. Got a chuckle from that one.

Best scene, though, was easily the piano. This hotel had a grand piano in the lobby. After one of the games, which Florida had won, they all just hung in the lobby for a while to figure out what they wanted to do for the rest of the night. Juan Encarnacion sits down and starts playing some salsa tune. Scott Olsen sidles up and decides he can do a better job, so he kicks Inky off and starts banging something awful. Beckett comes up and informs him how awful he is before sitting down and playing a perfect rendition of "Wind Beneath my Wings". Fricken hilarious.

Jack McKeon I've met three or four times. I got into good favor with him by defending him to SI when their humor columnist trashed him four weeks in a row. I was in Chicago in 2003 and asked him if he had seen the letter, which they printed. He said he had, so I told him that I had written it. He talked to me for about 15 minutes, just standing on the field. Then he grabbed a ball from batting practice and signed it. He remembered me the next few times I saw him down here.

Larry Beinfest is really nice. Jeffrey Loria is pretty cool. David Samson is a salesman, but what did you expect? He's got a job to do and he's trying to do it.

I met Zo once when he was sick. I was in the tunnel after the game with a bunch of kids and he came over to take pictures and sign autographs by his own desire. I guess he just doesn't like being interrupted at a meal. I personally never approach an athlete in a restaurant. To me, that's his/her time.

But the best people I've met are Len Kasper and Tommy Hutton. I want to announce, and I got to go up into the booth a couple of years ago. I met Tommy and found Len's e-mail address (too long of a story). This was three years ago. I still converse regularly with Len even after he moved to Chicago. Tommy has done numerous interviews for me whenever I've asked him (including this :D ).

Those are my stories. Enjoy.

I got a few stories but Ive never been able to meet a fin. When I was about 9 years old my dad and I went to the old Montreal Forum to see the B's and Habs. We had connections and we were able to go to the Bruins morning skate, where I got autographs from many players including Ray Bourque. I was hoping to get an autograph from my favorite player Adam Oates but he said he'd get me after the game tonight. So after the game we were waiting outside their lockeroom (dont know how that happened) and Oates denied me 2 times more. After that I ran crying into my dad's arms but Don Sweeney came over and gave me an autograph and was really nice to me. My dad's friend met Oates at the NHL awards banquet a few years ago and told him the story. Oates gave him an autograph for me but the damage had been done.

I met Manny Delcarmen, a relief pitcher for the Red Sox in Tampa this year. He was real nice, he signed autographs for like 20 minutes before the game.

Also met Trot Nixon of the Red Sox this year. He's my favorite Baseball player and he was nice, took a picture with me and signed a Baseball.

Has anyone ever seen Chambers or Gus?

i saw chambers at an autograph show; let me take a photo with him but unfortunately it didnt come out due to poor lighting. I also chatted with Bryan Cox who was taping an episode of Best Damn sports Show.

Clayton was really cool. Met him a few times at some Dolphin softball and basketball games. I swear Clayton was one of the most athletic people I've ever seen.

he's not a player but you can't tell me that he's not cool

Ronnie Brown is very, very cool. I was wearing his jearsy at training camp before the season started. When all the players started walking back inside the training facility, him and a few others stayed back to sign autographs. I was standing at the fence and he walked up to me first, out of everybody for some reason, "nice jearsy, how much do you want for it?" he laughed, I said it wasnt for sale, because it would be worth alot of money once this guy gets into the hall of fame. We both laughed, he signed my jearsy and before he moved on he looked back and said "I wont disapoint you"

It was very cool

That's deep. Don't you just know it's true.

For me it's Dan Marino. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to watch a Marlin's game with my father in his companies suite. Joe Rose was there as well. After being introduced to Joe and Dan, I stood next to both of them and began watching the game. Joe then asked me, "So, did you know I caught a touchdown from this man?" I laughed as said yes. Then he asked if I followed baseball and came for the game, I responded: "Yea, I like the Marlins and follow baseball a bit, but I came to meet the legend." They both laughed and Dan said "Please." Patted me on my back when I said that and they both started signing anything and everything I had. My father then continued to carry a conversation with them both. So I would have to say Marino, my father's been around him at games, company events, and has played golf with him, and he always speeks highly of him as a person. A great experience that I will never forget.

I also met Zach Thomas at the superbowl back in 1998, great guy as well, and another incredible experience.
