Cortland Finnegan rated among worst FA moves

If he is on the roster day one of regular season then the whole 5.5M is guaranteed. I dont like the signing because of too many questions and he has not been to pro bowl isnce 2008. The money would have been better spent signing one of the top OGs or RTs. Mike Collins contract averaged 6M per year. This is the type of gambles in my opinion get GMs fired.

I like everything else Hickey has done except this. If we would have signed Collins instead then you could still draft a top CB in the first round that would start. In the long run CB salaries are much higher so better to draft one high. OL are your best percentage gambles in FA. If He gets burned continuously in the season this will come back to burn Hickey in the long run.

This means that this guys is going to be a beast on the field. Love the signing!

I said the same thing, low risk higher reward type signing. Do I think he is going to be all pro again, I don't know, depends on a lot of things but I do know if he stays healthy he isn't going to be any worse than anything we had paired with Grimes last season.

I think Nolan Carroll was seriously undervalued both here and in free agency, but I guess I'm alone. I didn't see a ton of difference between Carroll and Sean Smith, only Carroll actually occasionally touched a football.

Why isn't anyone hating on the contract the Pats (who never spend on FA) gave Revis? I know they're trying to go toe to toe with Denver but they over paid him.

12 million for the best CB in the NFL last year according to PFF? He's not only the best CB he's one of the top defensive players in the league, and some CB's that aren't as good as him got borderline 10 mill per year. That's not overpaying, that's his market value.

Not to mention he made 17 million last yr, they got him cheap, considering it was a FA move, most big time FA get over paid.....
