Could The Dolphins OL Be Worse This Year?

Even though Shelly underperformed during pass protection, I have problem with the left side of our line. The RG is the least important position, and there might be a player on the team that can handle it with good coaching. Our choice for RT is critical to whether the line will be functional. Therefore, my answer to your question is that I do not know.

As we are not talking about any KC payers, I have no idea as to what you are talking about. Maybe you should let uncle and auntie post. JK/LOL

Is Brandon Albert not one of our new players on this offensive line that you referred to in you original post? I understand when the PFF comment was made it was after your Jerry/Smith/Colledge thing but Albert was only used in the OP with PFF stats. :d-day:

OK, although he is not a part of the problem, let's hear from you, uncle, and auntie on him and what you three think?

YES!! Right now we have 2 legit o-line players and nothing else.

We only had 1 legit starter last year along with bad coaching. If you say we now have 2 legit starters, and 2 is better than 1, wouldn't that mean our OL has improved?? ....:ponder:

Our biggest problem was pass blocking, where we gave up 58 sacks. Albert is a great pass blocker. Some of the sacks credited to him are from Smith bailing from the pocket leading to those sacks. When it comes to run blocking he struggled although like your pff stats point out Smith succeeded greatly in run blocking. Putting Smith in between Pouncey and Albert will help him considerably in pass blocking. Back to Albert; Albert is a great pass blocker and lightyears ahead of Martin and McKinnie our LT's of last year. Already having Albert, Smith and Pouncey shores up the left side of the line and protects Tannehills blindside and helps with the run game. I think Albert was a great signing and adding someone like him can rub off on other players making the offensive line better. We now have two pro bowlers on our line and the draft and alot of free agency left. As of right now I like our offensive line and Albert way more than last year.

We are done with bullygate(i think)...more time to focus...better proven oline coaches I think is 70%...there will be suprise cuts on oline that are older but solid...Tannehill has been progressing every year with steps and field presence..but wait there's more

Hell no! It's not going to be worse. Probably not as bad either. I would say as it stands now barring another pick-up like Mack (fingers crossed) or a 1st rounder like Miller, that we will at least be slightly improved. Even last year after losing Ratfink and Lugnut we got a bit better.

C'mon man.

There is always a chance but I doubt it. Albert will improve the unit. Not having RI or JM should be beneficial as well.

It was on this website that I read it was Jerry who was telling Pouncey when to snap. That means Pouncey is an idiot or was totally lit while playing.

Regardless of who is on the OL, Benton may have his work cut out.

Step 1 to a better OL... Lazor, Joe, Hickey, & Benton finding the right 5 between now and late Aug. Step 2) Pouncey keeping his head down & nose clean
