I really don't think he had a plan. I think he figures it out as he goes. Why bring in smith, and flynn and beg Manning to come here if you have to beg then there not interested. When your courting someone free agent woman whatever you have to have some personality or that person is not interested Jeff has no personality he comes off cold pompous and stale. Jeff is what he is and that is a scout not a GM.

Hell even local talk radio is wondering what's up with Miami. The moves to this point makes no sense, even not firing Ireland. It's like the guys in charge can't complete a statement, most things seem half done. CRAP, oh well I live in DC area so I do get to see first hand what RGIII will do on the NFL level. Also the Ravens are close as well and they are usually good. The silver lining is Miami should have no trouble getting the first pick next year, I say 2 wins is about right.

This is the point where Philbin needs to get with the players and tell them to shut the f up. A "TEAM" player would not do that at any cost. Take care of that in-house. Don't go texting the media and bringing extra attention to the team. IMO, whoever it was, brought extra pressure not only to Ireland but to every person associated with the Dolphins.

Yeah, not sure what the OP saw, but Darlington said he got a text from just one PLAYER who asked what was going on. No multiple players, and deinitely not any front office people.
