I’m not worried about Eichenberg after a few weeks of training camp. I still think it was a good pick and I expect he will eventually work himself into a starting role on the offensive line. Heck I thought Deiter was going to have trouble making the team this year because of his play as a rookie and how little he played last year. Yet now it appears he will be the Dolphins starting center this season.

So if Deiter could get his act together and develop into a starter for the Dolphins, there is no reason to believe Eichenberg won’t do the same thing once he adjusts to playing in the NFL.

100%. If Dieter can become even a serviceable starting center, then we (me included) should learn a lesson there and not panic w these guys so quickly.

I do get a little uncomfortable when almost all tweets are of Miami winning every play. They can't be THAT good

Darrisaw's recovery from core muscle surgery reportedly "continues to be an issue," which forced him to see a specialist regarding his return. Coach Mike Zimmer recently described the injury as one “nagging all the time," going as far to say the rookie has been "one step forward and two steps back." The Vikings re-signed veteran Rashod Hill as insurance but will likely have to lean on him by default in Week 1 (and for an unknown period beyond that).

Jeez man - for once we got lucky not drafting him or Jenkins (who I liked).

There are a LOT of guys who were on our short list who are injured currently... and some of them had red flags associated with them even before the draft, so we made some wise choices.

The only one that I worry about is Phillips, and I've been honest about the fact that I would not have drafted him. I pray that I can laugh about being wrong in about three years.

I'm with you! It seems every year we seem to get players that are banged up and get more banged up. All those guys you mentioned were on my plate of "man, that would be a great pick".

It's about time we get.... lucky.
