Hall Of Famer
In all seriousness, the police just violated his HIPAA rights if they leaked this story.
BS on the cops' part.
I very much doubt this was a police officer that leaked this

Not information about health issues. That is a gross violation of the law if the cops did leak him wanting this medication.
Police officers have a very difficult job in this society. However, it is obvious that Shelby's claims of abuse has struck a nerve and the drip of leaks slamming Shelby have not stopped since. The police are fighting in a very nasty fashion and that simply does not benefit the community and society at large.
Demand more from your government. Make them accountable.
Hospital room? Seriously?
ER man. No such thing as a "room," usually. Curtains between bays. You get loud and lots of people can hear.
Shelby violated his own privacy.
And police reports are public information anyway.

Used to be that way, my local hospitals have private ER rooms. I bet most hospitals that are up to date are the same way.Hospital room? Seriously?

In general I totally agree w. what you just said. And you are 100 percent right on government accountability -- which essentially doesn't exist today. Billions can disappear from State Department budgets, IRS emails can disappear across states and on every sensitive computer related to IRS weaponizing, including the wiping of every sensitive phone, outright lies related to NSA monitoring and FBI activity against citizens, w. zero outcry or accountability. And it's pretty much rotten from the federal head down into states, with most media organizations afraid to question, investigate or report the truth. Lots of good LEOs as individuals, lots of good leaders, including politicians, but the bulk are fed into the hive consciousness of using position to rape the people. So, yes, in general, are many police departments (including local govs) needed radical accountability? No question.
But in this case w. Shelby, he created the entire mess, from his actions in the club that night, to his belligerent entitlement of groping non-groupies (apparently he wasn't satisfied w. his raw dog hooker -- he tried to get some legit scores), and then refusing to leave the club, and then refusing to obey police orders. Sitting there pretending not to hear police when being asked to leave is not cool.
This is on Shelby bro. And I'm usually the first to defend someone from overzealous police, having been down that road more than once myself.

Always a big fan of how patriotic this forum gets...when a Dolphins player is the one in trouble.
We have a running thread in the political forum on the situation in Missouri. 1,402 posts have been made in it. Guess how many of those posts came from the plethora of principled First Amendment defenders who seemed to pop up after Don Jones was punished for tweeting. Go ahead, guess.
This isnt some bigger issue. Dont try and cloak your outrage in principle just because a player of your favorite sports is involved.
noting wrong with making them accountable if found wrong but we have no proof , witness or video evidence at this point they did anything wrong. This leak from the hospital is probably someone that work there

As he said ER anyone that works in the area or even another person getting treated could have overheard this

No offense, but I do not come to Finheaven to talk politics.
You are right that it is not "some bigger issue". It is a microcosm of how government has run amuck recently.

Regardless if it was a person taking care of Shelby, or just a house keeping person walking by, anyone who works in the hospital is bound by HIPAA. Sorry man, thats the way it is.
The one I work at sure does. And every place I went to in clinicals did as well. The only place I recall only having curtains separating patients was at the VA. surprise surprise.
