come on man. CK wites for them. they have to be legit

CK probably knows more about evaluating talent than most on this site, but anyone can write for Bleacher Report...and most of them don't have a clue.

You might want to look that up. According to my source he is the #30th ranked GM in the league with a record of 14-28. almost carbon copy of Ireland. Multiple changes in coaching and scheme. And for the record Jeff Ireland does not have a 5 yr straight losing record

11-5
7-9
7-9 new coaching
6-10
7-9 new coaching
8-8

I don't understand why you lost a coaching change in Year 3. Sparano was the coach for all those years. The only coaching change Ireland had was Philbin

It's not like being ranked 17th is something to brag about anyway. If I had the 17th best coach, running game, pass rush, whatever, I'd be looking to improve on it and I certainly wouldn't be content with it.

Of course he needs to be shown the exit! Ireland rolled the dice on a draft pick. Especially one you traded up to get. Personally I think if you aredoing that you want that guy to start right away or have alot of playing time. Not to be a project . And this hasn't been the first time he has picked a guy that wasnt a need. He knew o line was a problem chose to ignore it thus creating more of a problem than what we had. I wonder had he not traded up what players he could have had that may have made a difference!

He should have been fired along with Sparano, long before Sparano was actually fired. Keeping him after that was a huge mistake, a bigger mistake was letting him have money and picks going into last offseason. The mistakes just keep going on and getting bigger. Wake the F$#% up Ross !!!!!!!!!

Bring in Polian. Why? Because experience pays in that position. Few people have a knack for talent acquisition like Jimmy Johnson. A lot of people don't like JI.

I can't understand the argument against firing him. Whether or not conditions have been absolutely perfect for him to succeed, I can't imagine that he is this diamond in the rough genius who would bring us to glory if only given the opportunity. He has had lots and lots of time to succeed here and he has failed. At worst we're firing a mediocre GM.

I also think a GM is far more replaceable than a coach. The problem with firing coaches is there are so few legitimate replacement candidates, but I don't think you need the same pedigree to be a good GM. My guess is there are any number of great minds out there with a good eye for talent and who are comfortable with advanced metrics who could do a better job than Ireland. Shoot, I've won my fantasy league 4 out of 11 years. I think I could do a better job than Jeff Ireland.
