And BTW, Ive been on boats with people I didnt particularly like at all, and Id still go out with them and the rest of the crew if we were docked somewhere.

Incognito is your typical 'meathead'. There's one in every locker room. And I honestly don't think he had any malicious intent towards Martin. I think that all the events that led up to this were his attempts to try to toughen up Martin, and bring the 'dog' out of him. But he ended up taking it way too far.

I can't help my prying mind to think of how things have developed. It boggles my mind as to how quickly things exploded yesterday and where all the information came from.
So this morning I asked Dave Hyde about it:

Again, you miss the point completely...that the photo proves nothing...I just the most extreme example I could think of...
The abused wife situation does apply as it again shows that photos can be misleading...
There are some who are doing everything they can to build a case against Martin...and searching for any little evidence they can to support Incognito it is getting old. To support a person who makes racist comments to a teammate is something I cannot understand...and many are doing it just because he is a better football player.
It is odd this all came out right before the first of out back to back prime time games. Its possible he wanted to maximize the attention this got.

To be fair they have both stunk it up this year evenly :)
This certainly would put a damper on JM accusations however I'm not sure that any picture will overcome the VM's the NFL and team have.

And that is why the NFL is going to get to the bottom of this. Someone knew something and the fact Philbin read from a written statement the other day screams red flags that there is more to this story and it runs deeper.
The fact he came out yesterday and said he knew nothing until this past weekend might come back to bite him in the ass.

My Point is not to defend Incongnito, its more the fact that the whole Timeline of events just doesnt make sense and I think many people are rushing to judge a bit prematurely.
Context is a difficult thing for people to grasp. Unless you are part of the situation its hard for any of us to really know the ill intent one way or another.

Again the whole team or OL was probably out that night in New Orleans. This photo was taken Sunday night in New Orleans before the MNF game.

Philbin had spoken to Martin several times since April but this is the first time any abuse was reported. Basically Martin came to him saying he was having mental or personal issues but never said what they were.

I think Martin handled it the wrong way, completely. But, I still don't comprehend how some people can defend Richie at this stage.

Interesting. Well if true, I believe that somewhat protects the franchise from any hostile working environment lawsuits. It ddoesnt protect incognito or anyone else who may have been involved.
