10/13/02 Sunday night game last time Miami played Denver. Fiedler threw a pass that was deflected (should have been picked ) into the arms of, I believe, Dedric ward to set up a 45 + yard field goal.

Yep, I was in the hospital during that week and watched the game there. Sounds weird, but that win helped me get better.

I know EXACTLY what you're saying. I was supposed to be at the Monday Night game this past season to see us against the Pats. (A co-worker and I go every year because he's a patriots fan, yes, even way before they won the SBs)
Anyway, in November I tore my ACL and had to cancel the trip. The week after my surgery while I was still recovering (leg in a motion machine and couldn't bear weight on the knee) I watched the game on the coach.

That was such a spirit lifting game. I felt so great after that game and it was a great distraction from the pain for a few hours.

9-13-99 Dolphins 38 Broncos 21.

Coming off two consecutive SBs and a long home unbeaten streak the Broncos play in their home stadium as favorites to beat the Dolphins even though they start a rookie QB Brian Griese .The festivities involve a firework display and a ceremony to retire John Elway's number.

The Dolphins coached by Jimmy Johnson and featuring Dan Marino ,OJ Mc Duffie,Zach Thomas find a way to beat the Champions.Other players of note were Yatil Green.Cecil Collins,JJ Johnson ,Konrad.

The Broncos feature most of their SB players including Shannon Sharpe.Tyrell Davis.

The quality of the video excellent except for occasional loss of video. The audio is mpeg2 and is of good quality.

It is my understanding that he came off the bench for the Bills game but I could be wrong as I am repeating info that I have received. It could be that a better title would have been Marino's first win.But I dont have time to see the whole games to make a complete review.I must rely on info given although sometimes it may be wrong.

Marino's first start was home against the Bills. An agonizing 38-35 loss in OT. I know because I attended the game and got into a heated argument while leaving the Orange Bowl via the spiral exit ramps.

Everyone was so damn CHEERFUL, even though we just lost to Buffalo at home for the first time since expansion '66. During the glee I shouted to no one in particular, "Does anyone realize we just lost to pathetic Buffalo, at home?" The response was amazingly predictable, summarized as; "Dont you understand that doesn't matter, because now we have Danny Marino, and HE CAN THROW THE FOOTBALL!"

I was already aghast at the pantyhose tendencies we displayed in the game. That was the type of team Woodley would have defeated 13-10. The argument continued all the way down the ramp and off the Orange Bowl property, at least with a few fans who were parked in the same direction as me. Even with Bradshaw in his prime along with Swann and Stallworth in '78 and '79, those Steelers averaged 36 rushing attempts per game. Shula gave immediate evidence he didn't get it and would let Marino air it out more than was ideal or productive. Too bad I was right.

Whats the news on the Steelers game? We gonna do it?

It will be next. Its one one my favorite games that we have downloaded on the Classics so far because it fully demonstrates the domination the Fins had in that era even more so than the SB games.

That was no slouch they were playing. That was the Steelers who were to become the next dynasty and had most of their dynasty players already on the roster.

Thanks Dooger.Obviously the info I received was wrong but anyway the the game against the Jets really demonstrated that Marino was a once in a lifetime type of QB.Amazing ability.

Yeah I don't know how accurate NBC was with their wording but they show a graphic in the 2nd quarter right before Gastineau sacks Marino that gives his numbers from Buffalo. The graphic says first start but the announcer says debut, which really just confuses things more.

did we ever cycle that game through here? i know that was one of my first requests as well... so many highlights.

that was a rare time where the crowd actually cheered for fiedler to come back in, and Gadsden made a short rebirth...
