Was originally projected as a 6th or 7th round pick but ended up going undrafted. He signed with the Saints but they cut him for a "failed physical". Saints were planning to re-sign him, but the Dolphins swooped in.

Well we all know the saying .... "you can never have too many corners" and it is true. My guess is that Coach Flo wants to get another guy indoctrinated in his method of playing DB so when the inevitable deluge of injuries hits he has people comfortable running his complex coverage schemes ... and Williams is just the latest of that group.
