Dolphins coaches asked Incognito to toughen up Martin, sources say

How is this even a news story. No **** they went to incognito to toughen him up. Incognito is pretty much the leader of the offensive line. And if Martin never came to them to complain about bullying how the hell would they know that incognito would scare him even more.
 
Damn, Henne probably regrets not cashing in on all the abuse he took from Brandon Marshall. The dude broke his will to play the game.

I couldn't disagree more. It was Cog's place to do so. Cog simply misread his relationship with Martin or is a flaming racist who hated Martin. Either way Cog went too far, and Martin was too soft to look to try and resolve the situation in a mature way. Both handled this poorly. But make no mistake about it, the locker room is the property of the players not the coach.
 
So what if if they asked him to toughen him up? Martin obviously needed it. They just underestimated how much of a sissy he was.

If his parents are lawyers and he is premed like I have read you can bet it is more of the latter than the former. Saban made a kid cry so that was public and that is bullying Martin simply left lunch after the very same prank that he had been in the week before on Gardner. I love how the media is putting a disclaimer on any player who does not support Martin. Carter who had huge problems in the NFL with drugs they say nothing but undermine Ricky Williams. Media bullies with a agenda!
 
way to open pandoras box for players to find scapegoats to blame for crappy play if it's convenient...this leagues gonna be ruined by litigation before long...the way things are heading

we thought head injuries and future concerns there were a big deal wait til blaine gabbert starts recording phone messages and texts from his jax teammates...and every other player who just wasn't good enough or garnered some tough love talk

Many parents dream their kid can play in the league...the Martins dreamed their kid could play AND get a lawsuit out of it.

IQ's, SAT's, and ACT's don't measure someone's emotional maturity. Tiger Woods went to Stanford too and he's got some serious issues.
 
The question I have, how is this worse than Mike Sherman calling out Egnew in front of all his teammates and the ENTIRE PUBLIC and saying "If I were the GM, I would cut you right now because you suck!"

Isn't that abuse? Isn't that insulting?

This story is going to have coaches walking on pins and needles from now on...
 
At the end of the day this is all happening because J. Martin, is, and was going to be a Bust. He will never play again.
