Dolphins confident they can find TWO starting guards

Give me the best scheme fit of Warford, Leary, Womack and Pasztor and I'll be happy.

The first two names are much better than the last two. Warmack has been a complete bust, he needs to prove he isn't just a depth signing. Pasztor is okay, I'd certainly like to get a better player...though I wouldn't be against signing him but I'd have to see the contract first.

Pasztor as pivot depth i dont think is the worst idea...have to get more athletic on the depth pivot which makes guys like steen especially less valuable

2015: Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner. And you wonder why this team was 6-10 while Ryan Tannehill was sacked 45 times?.

2016: Laremy Tunsil and Jermon Bushrod.

Don't forget that Thomas and Turner started 2016 because Tannenbaum is a complete idiot who can't do his job! Why were these guys still on the roster at all? They were two of the worst Guards in the entire league and Tannenbaum couldn't find ANYONE to take their place? The poor o-line play was a major reason why Miami started 1-4, and it was all Tannenbaum's fault for not fixing the o-line.

Blame Gase. He is the one who decided which players got cut.

Absolutely was. His only contribution and reason for remaining at RG was his health and the lack thereof of those around him.

Health is priority #1 and impossible to predict. It seems that many here want to pay for the best guards but then if they get hurt, what do you do? It's not easy dealing with offensive line depth issues yet they seem to go unaccounted for.

And he got very good play out of him. If I'm not mistaken his play was lauded by everyone including players who voted him one of the top 100 players one year in Buffalo. Given the media's complete slam job making that situation seem like it was all him and only home, I found it particularly impressive that the players chose to acknowledge his high level of play.

Say what you want, but he provided good guard play ... as opposed to Jerry who did not and Martin who was 8ncredibly bad at every OL position. We had run lanes when Richie played.

IIDGAF if Icognito is a HOF'er, I want nothing to do with scum in our locker room. And as far as his personal performance goes, he never propelled the Bills to anything besides mediocrity. Yeah, he's just a guard, but that's exactly the point.

Agreed. But, I'm looking long term. I don't think any fan would say, "x" is "OK" so I'm satisfied. For the record, I'm equating "OK" with "tolerable." You know, like McCain.

It has been along time since we have seen ok at guard and lb

That's fine, but you should probably acknowledge that similar feelings would probably arise about half of the NFL if you knew what was under the hood.

Also, it is inaccurate to say he was bad. It's perfectly fine to say you just don't like the guy. I'm sure most of us would agree with that.

I will not acknowledge that b/c it is not true of your claim that 1/2 the NFL is composed of vile sub-level beings.

Larry Warford in FA, resign Bushrod, and draft one G.

Don't dig to deep on the behavior of profesional athletes, musicians, actors or politicians. I'm not sure you will like what you find. They aren't all Tannehill"s and Wake's.

This is just such a bummer, as we have invested sooooooooo much in getting our o-line right, yet here we are again trying to land 2 starting o-lineman. Over the past 5 years; 2016 Tunsil 1st round, 2015 Douglas 4th round(not on team), 2014 James 1st round Turner 3rd round(turner not on team), 2013 Thomas (not on team), 2012 Martin 2nd round (not on team). 6 high picks have landed us two starters and 4 cuts...That isn't a good ratio.

We can't underestimate how important this is. Last year we had a make shift line due to injuries, and we went 1-4 and couldn't run or protect Ryan. When we got healthy all of sudden Ryan played well above what he has done in the past, and we launched a pro bowl RB. Finding these 2 guys is just as important or more important than landing two new starting LBs. I really think this is where the money needs to be spent in free agency. Go hard and get two big name starters like Leary and Zeiter for example there are a few other guys available we could interject. Then use the draft to get better on defense. We have the leaders, Jones Wake Suh Kiko, on defense to carry young guys to the next level. Our offense needs leaders in the huddle especially on the o-line as we lost BA and you never know if Pouncey will be there.

Sorry but a free-willed, party mentality is not comparable to those with no human decency. Are there some that would fit the POS criteria? Sure. But again it's not the majority.

And **** politicians, they don't belong in said group. The majority are certainly slimeballs.

Yeah, we have a consistent track record. We consistently find good or at least decent OL in round 1. That is the round where prospects have it all. In addition to the feet and length for which the Dolphins look, these prospects also have good technique and meet the minimum for power.

But outside of the 1st round, prospects do not have it all. When we prioritize feet and length we get guys who are busts because they lack technique or power.

Other teams set a minimum amount of power, and below that they don't draft them. Also, they prioritize technique, because useful technique trumps feet and length. Without it, nothing matters. These guys have been learning the same technique for 8+ years. If they don't have it now, we shouldn't be banking on them learning it.

Easy Pease, just get an ex-Belichick Spyware kid to lie about who he is and what he is doing to infiltrate the draft rooms of teams like the Cowboys and Titans, take videos of their draft boards and scouting reports of guards, and use their analysis to draft good OL. Wait, that illegal espionage style has a name doesn't it .... rule-breaking? No, that's not it ... cheating? No, that doesn't sound right ... disreputable? No, that isn't the name I was thinking of ... criminal? No, that doesn't ring a bell ... Oh yeah! I remember! It's called "The Patriot Way" ... yeah, that's it.
