I admit I haven't done research on the guy, but what has he done to be given the keys to the kingdom? Why hasn't he landed a GM job already?

He's not coming here. He actually has it in his contract that he WILL be the next GM of the Ravens when Ozzie steps down. I doubt he will even come for an interview.

That said, I'm glad that Ross recognizes that he is a phenomenal candidate and at least tried.

Though I don't expect DeCosta to interview I think Ross is putting together a nice list of interviewees and contacting DeCosta obviously strengthens that. Nice job thus far Mr Ross.
