I think you could cut Thompson and put him on the practice squad if needed.Let’s cut Thompson and bring in Will Grier. He had a great game as Cowboy’s 3rd QB and will likely be a cut now that they have Lance and Rush in the QB room.
Going back to his UF days, I've always liked Grier. Will, that is, not necessarily Chris. Heh.Let’s cut Thompson and bring in Will Grier. He had a great game as Cowboy’s 3rd QB and will likely be a cut now that they have Lance and Rush in the QB room.

You really think they would play Thompson over Will Levis who they just invested a 2nd round in?He'd instantly be the backup in Tennessee, amongst other teams. There's no way he'd make it through waivers, IMO of course.
Fins Up!! ️
Thompson had a great week of practice the week I attended and he was reping in with starters alot.I think you could cut Thompson and put him on the practice squad if needed.
Titans just drafted Levis pretty high and Willis had a good preseason. Don't think they would be interested in ole SkylerHe'd instantly be the backup in Tennessee, amongst other teams. There's no way he'd make it through waivers, IMO of course.

At this point I see Thompson as a 3rd stringer that could develop into decent back up at best. I'm not sure teams would be rushing to add him. That's my thought instantly too, but reportedly, they aren't confident in Levis or Willis as the backup to Tanny.
Thompson is good. Better than practice squad.
