I guess you can look at it like more opportunities for mistakes or more opportunities for success.
it will mean you can avoid the number one CB
Also, you won't have time to make 5 reads on a three step drop.

it's gonna be a rude awakening when hartline is matched up against #1 cb's and is completely shut down for some of you. I keep hearing this offense doesn't have a true #1, that's fine and all but we don't even have anyone close to Greg Jennings on our team..

If its okay with you I'd rather stick with coach philben on this. I'm not sure how his offense is going to work without the supposed "#1" Wr but I'm willing to give the benefit of doubt that they have a plan and a system. Once more people are putting foot in mouth way too early because "they" dont understand.

So much of YAC has to do with the QB being accurate with the football and not just comp % but the ability to lead a WR in stride. Honestly, I don't think Moore has that type of accuracy. Garrard better, but not great. I could see Tannehill being a bit more successful with his ability to throw on the run.

I'd have to agree that YAC has more to do with ball placement by the QB than it does with the WR. I think the new offense will involve shorter passes but will allow for more YAC. No more playing street ball like Brandon Marhsall's routes were.

yeah and now somehow hartline is supposed to fare so much better when he's now gonna be matched up more regularly with legit opposition or the top corners on the opposition...yeah right...like i said it better be some serious scheme and overload wr type stuff if this gonna work...

The new coaching staff has stated several times that all receivers will play various roles depending on the play and matchups. They're not looking for #1, #2, or #4. They're looking Wr's that can be used in many ways. So Hartline won't always be lined up with the other teams best CB.

Have you took a second to think that maybe it is not the 10 guys catching the ball, it is the one QB throwing them or the one guy calling the plays and routes?

Most teams dont float the CB's. Generally, a RCB will play the right side and LCB plays the left side and they dont move around. The nickle might move but generally teams dont move around their CB's. The Raiders did it a little with Asomugha but I havent seen many others do it.

i realize some teams don't the raiders with asomugha when he was there being one...but the point is there's no brandon marshall anymore to take away coverage for the other guys hartline is gonna have to do his work now on a more regular basis against top 2 level cbs on each team...and i don't like those odds...never have...

i do disagree though that teams don't move their cbs around...you can help get guys off coverage by stacking your wrs and overloads etc but if we plan on lining up bess and hartline as the top 2 wrs in 2 wr sets and winning consistently against coverage we better draw up some fantastic stuff...
