THEY EITHER trade him or loose out on his services because when they gave brown that contract imo that was a slap in the face to wallace.

imo if dallas did get in on this thenthey would have to cut austin or maybe even dez because they dont have the money to pay all of those recivers , they also have a cap as we do so if they do go after wallace and get him they are going to loose a good wr that we still might be in the running for.but dallas dont have any cap left either we have if i looked at it right , we have just as much as dallas has plus next year we are going to be in a whole lot better possion than dallas prob double the cap space dallas will have next year.
 
thought i would post this link up for the guys saying Wallace is only a deep threat and doesnt work the middle. The video around the 1-3 minute mark and 6 minute mark shows him running some drags, deep outs , seam and post up the middle and things like that,... I would love to have him on this team and if Gates can amount to 1/3 of what wallace is then we will be lucky.... ++ i dont see how having a legit deep threat is a bad thing even if its "all" he can do. Its worked out great for him so far.

Mike Wallace provides more to an offense then Brandon Marshall. He is worth the 2.5 mil extra Marshall was paid. I would give up the extra third for him in a second The problem is the Phins don't have the cap space. Cutting on the DL would be wisest as that is the deepest position on the team. Getting Jake Longs contract done would help as well. If they can get into the 8-9 mil range year one, it may be possible.

Unfortunately, Wallace's holdout, trade and contract are occurring one year to soon.

Kevin Colbert (Pittsburgh's GM) came out and said Wallace will NOT be traded. So this thread is moot.

And to answer your question, Steelers couldn't afford Big Jake anyways.

imo they might as well trade wallace because after they rubbed the brown contract in wallaces face im sure they burnt the bridge.
 
if they dont trade him, no way he resigns there next year without MEGA bucks
 
Rapelthisberger throws one of the best, if not the best, deep balls in the league. In our current form, Wallace would probably come here and disappoint.
 
I want nothing to do with Mike Wallace. Let him get paid elsewhere. I do not want to trade picks for another disgruntled receiver again. BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT AND FILL IN FA VETERANS. Low Risk, High Reward.

The problem with low risk high reward guys is most of the time they end up being low risk low reward guys that dont pan out to anything. We need play makers and wallace is one of the best in the league. and hes only 25, which is only like 2-3 years older then most rookie in the draft but with 3 years of experience. I like building through the draft too but sometimes you need a few FA to help out too and why not grab him and sure up the biggest need on the team. Rookie WR sometimes take a while to become starters and there might not be any when our pick comes around like this year. We have some talent on this team but we still need a few guys to put us over the edge, and i feel this could be one of those guys.
 
there was a reason gates was picked in the 4th round people.also how on eart would we fit wallace into our cap.MAKE HIM AN OFFER HE CANT REFUSE?
 
The Qb make the the receiver with accuracy, gate never had that last season and they never featured him, Jerry rice don't become great unless he is featured in the offense, so they need to feature their receivers.
