Ditto your excuses using Schillins and Gates and Hill to exonerate a QB who sucked no matter who he failed to throw to...but then try to defend the GM whose wheeling, dealing and poor QB extension putting them in cap hell and limiting his options was largely responsible for the scrubs (not that buttfumble wouldn't have thrown into triple coverage even if non scrubs were also open). Can't have it both ways. You need to sit down and figure out just what spin you want to use.. and the reality it infers otherwise. Cuz if Tannenbaum wasn't responsible for the 6-10 then it was Rex hiring Sparano as his mini me and his field management including use of QBs. Funny how the team improved with Izdick making the decisions including obviously having Woody tell Rex to hire Morningwood as the OC as a provision of his agreeing to accept the job. Rex stayed the same, Morningwood and Iztdick made the difference. What does that tell you about your overrated HC? (and your glorified bean-counter of a GM?)

I don't exonerate Mark for 2012, he was terrible but he didn't have a chance.
we weren't in cap hell, the cap was tight but it was an easy fix. we went from what you call "cap hell" a year ago to 3rd most cap space in the league right now. how bad could this cap "hell" have been?
Tannenbaum was responsible for the 6-10 season, he was a huge reason why. where did I say he wasn't? It was him, Rex, mark, etc... Nowhere have I absolved him of blame.
We hired Marty before we hired Idzik.
My overrated HC finished 2nd in the division last year when we were supposedly the worst team in the league, if you had my coach you wouldn't have been watching other teams in the playoffs AGAIN.

Clearly, after all the other rejections, Izdik agreed to come on board if Woody made Rex go ahead an finally hire Morningwood instead of continuing to look for another of his mini mes.. as a provision of accepting the position. Your over rated and often franchise-embarrassing HC was the constant. IR'ing buttfumble, switching Rex's HC for Izdik's HC and switching out Izdik for Tannenbaum was the difference between 2012 and 2013. Rex would have done crap with us, as he would last season if Woody let the show go on with the same cast of characters. Essentially he's basking in the glow of grown ups Morningwood and Itzdick.
If you don't think Izdik, empowered by Woody told him to just STFU, do his thing with the D and stay away from Morningwood, I've got a shiny bridge I can sell you cheap :up:

It was widely known and discussed by all the QB competition at training camp between Smith and Sanches was not a competition but a farce. Additionally, if he was being considered for the starting job, Ryan would never have put him in behind a scrub offensive line late in a pre season game.
Mark Sanches was not going to be a starter which is why they drafted Geno Smith. You'd think that would end the Sanches discussion but no I'm wrong. Now we are subject to updates about an Eagles player. It has no bearing here and serves only to enflame the board with bull****. No one on here gives a **** (save one) about a backup Eagles QB.

It was a sham, the GM wanted Geno just as he does this year. at least this year he looks like an NFL QB. there isn't a person that was around camp/preseason last year that thinks geno earned the starting job.

It's obvious that Izdik told Woody, "alright I'll end the misery, agree to join even under the cap restrictions under the condition that you have the HC hire Morningwood and stop dicking around a week looking for his mini me.. and also tell him that the hapless QB is out. Essentially Idzik's deal with Woody is to have Rex stay out of Morningwood's way entirely. Rex is back to being the deneutered glorified HC whose main job is Defense.
the Jets interviewed Marty before even talking to Idzik but keep those theories flowing.
