Dolphins Love DT Jonathan Allen - Our Big FA Fish?

Would be very surprised if this happened considering our cap situation and 5 other holes to fill.

Chicago, New England and a few others have tons of money to overpay.

Time will tell. Until then, it's Bobby creating interest in his tweets
No, it's a player we've been very interested in and have inquired about now being available. It may or may not happen but dismissing it because you don't like the tweet source is just silly.

I am dismissing it because he will command big bucks. But hey, let Bobby get you all excited. 😂
Gotta love the go win on a shoestring budget concept. Big FAs cost money. Too many roster spots to fill in draft alone and if you get cheap in FA you more often than not find out why those players were affordable.

I think it's very unlikely. Why did Washington get rid of him? Big Bucks and draft is loaded at this position I am lead to believe.

I won't say no or complain if we get him...but I ain't getting my hopes up. Now if Omar made the tweet, I would think we were all in 😂

Which one of them will be better than Allen?
Which ones will be cheaper and still get the job done? That’s the better question. Miami still needs two stating guards and two starting safeties. How do you plan on filling all of those holes if you hand out a big contract to one player?

Who knows if it can happen but go ahead and string these tweets together. Imagine he and Seiler with Chop, Chubb, and JP coming in hot off the sides. Could keep Calais fresh too if he chooses to stay as he could just be part of the rotation. We have made numerous inquiries into him over the last three years so there has been a lot of interest.

Fingers crossed on this one.

Pass on Allen. 30 years old. Sacks have gone down each of the last 3 years. Will be very expensive and Fins are not ready to compete. Fins should be clearing cap space not adding to it in 2025.

Commanders planned on releasing him this year. They have Daron Payne who’s younger and costing them 22 million and they drafted Jer'Zhan Newton 36th overall last year. They were looking to move him last year once Newton fell out of the 1st and was available to them.

We have more holes than we can fill in the draft that can be making impact this year. We have 6 starters and a backup QB we need. Fix the D line and add a G like Hernandes in FA. Maybe Blackmon at Safety. Fill the rest in the draft.

The key in this situation imo is understanding the need and the strength of the draft position wise.

The position needs youth and a vet starter, unless your #13 is a def tackle, then he plays with Sieler who mentors him and you live with the mistakes to get the hi level cheaper talent on the field.

I would not sign a player that gets paid more than Sieler
