He's going to overtake Daunte Culpepper? Only if Daunte either A. never recovers from his injury and returns to form, or B. If he has a career ending injury.

Otherwise, why was the trade made? Daunte's only 29.

Yeah, thats what I mean. I just think its good to have someone that will be there if either of those happen. I really hope neither happen and that Daunte returns to how he was in 2004, but with our luck the last couple years with quarterbacks I say it would be better to be safe then sorry.
