Dolphins re-sign Pro Bowl Cornerback Brent Grimes

Great news. Very reasonable for both sides and we now have a sure-fire #1 CB for several years now! The most important deal that needed to get done this off-season just got done! Now we can get better at many other spots and compete at a high level ! Good start for our new GM, now let's keep that momentum rolling!

I think that's a real fair contract for Grimes and Dolphins.

Thx goodness. I hope it's a good deal, as far as the $ they gave him.

Dolphins gave Pro-Bowl CB Brent Grimes a four-year, $32 million deal that includes $16 million guaranteed, per ESPN source.

Fell within my predicted range. AKA: Nailed it.

4 years/32 million with 16 million guaranteed is basically a two year deal with a third year club option. I'm guessing when the numbers get released the third year salary will jump up a lot. That's basically the club option of whether to keep him at ~$10 to 12 million per that he's essentially getting for the first two years.

A lot of money for a corner his age. Let's hope we don't see too much of a drop off.

Ireland probably would've let him walk...like a boss!

Good job Hickey. Keep 'em coming.

Let's get this party started right!

Very fair deal imo. $8 million/year with 2 years guaranteed....and he could play nickle in his 3rd year if he's healthy.

JLC will kill us somehow on this deal.

Yup, I can see into his head right now...." Miami today resigned Grimes, he's a pretty good corner, did a respectable job last year, but considering his height and him being injured not that long ago, Miami might have overpaid." JLC is very predictable.

Some people are taught, if they have nothing good to say, say nothing at all....JLC basically believes if he has nothing bad to say about the Dolphins, then he has nothing to say.

He got a four-year, $32 million deal that includes $16 million guaranteed according to Adam Schefter.

Basically, they gave him a deal that just was a little more than what Reshad Jones got. Jones got a four year, $30 million deal with $15 million guaranteed.

I knew Grimes would get at least a little more than Jones, would be insulting if we offered less. This is a fantastic signing for Hickey, I think Grimes could have gotten more on the open market especially with the cap increase this season.
