Dolphins release Kendall Fuller and Durham Smythe

The number of acute needs we have is staggering.

Two IOL
Two S
CB
A physical RB
backup QB
NT
DT

Somehow we have cap problems yet a roster that hasn’t won a playoff game this Millenium. This is borderline miraculous.
They also need another starting LB.

I do believe this is the beginning of a very active off season for us

Fuller was often injured and Smythe was just average at best

They will likely have a target in FA for one of these spots.....

Add in a blocking tight end, swing tackle,starting LB and a third larger target 3rd wr although I guess if you can find another tight end that’s large and can block as well as receive maybe not.

And we need more than 2 IOL and 2 safeties. We need starters AND backups

So basically we need to fill every position on the team except RB, WR, 1 De, 1 DT and pray a couple guys recover from season ending injuries. Holy Fuk we are screwed. Thx Ross for keepIng the man that hasn’t done anything to help build this team into a championship contender

Most likely not. And the Dead money thing makes me so mad. I mean, we just created another unnecessary hole. I mean, he wasn't the best but we didn't need to cut Fuller. Now what once was a minor need is a huge need. On top of everything else.

Grier literally does nothing right
I knew there had to be a reason. - LOL

So last year's draft we got an OT, a pass rusher and a RB. Could be that they knew Chubb, Armstead and Moestart were going to be cut.

The players Grier has selected or traded for that cost multiple draft picks & a few other wasted picks... a tale of the Dolphins demise.

Tyreek trade = 1st, 2nd, two 4ths & a 6th.

Chubb trade = 1st & 4th

Ross tampering with Brady = 1st & 3rd

Jalen Wright = 3rd & 4th

Eichenburg = 2nd & 3rd

Waddle = two 1sts & 4th

Kindley = two 4ths

Curtis Weaver = 6th & 7th

Rosen = 2nd & 6th

Jeff Wilson = 5th

Chase Claypool = 6th

Igbo = 1st

Cam Smith = 2nd

Channing Tindal = 2nd

Ezukanma = 4th

Hunter Long = 3rd

Deiter = 3rd

Totals

1st rounders spent = 6
2nd rounders spent= 5
3rd rounders spent= 5
4th rounders spent= 8
5th rounders spent= 1
6th rounders spent= 4
7th rounders spent= 1

For a grand total of 30 draft picks spent on....

wait for it.....

only TWO players that will be starting for the team in 2025, if Tyreek is traded and Chubb is cut.

You should have to have a degree in scouting before you can work for an nfl scouting office

I thought we would release Fuller post June 1 for more salary cap relief.

Mostert and Smythe being released is no surprise.

We need a more physical RB to complement Achane and Wright and a better blocking TE to replace Smythe/Hill.
I would like for us to draft RB Tuten from Virginia Tech or if Tampa releases Sean Tucker, he would be a home run get.
