May not make the team??? We don't have a center!

He even held out for more money, which Miami then paid him. Sure, he may washout eventually,..but he's coming in here to be our starter. Garner is a fill-in guy, solid, but a backup. We need Garner to be available to cover multiple positions on the line in case someone gets hurt. When Pouncey comes back, then we don't need Satele anymore.
 
Its amazing how much Ireland put into the line with free agents and draft picks and had nothing to show for it.I thought Hickey would really focus on the line but maybe thinking he could fix the line in one year was wishful thinking. I dont think we can get a good read on tannehill if the line sucks again the only guy on the line im not worried about is Albert after that who knows
 
Fun how far things fall in value over 5 years. I can remember people rationalizing the Welker trade by arguing that the pick Mimai got in return was used on Satele who was to be our pro bowl center for years to come. Lol

Now he's lucky to be a backup.
 
Welcome back somewhat serviceable Samson Satele. At least it not cost us a 2nd round pick this time...

It always puzzled me why the Colts (other than the Stanford connectiion) chose to install a Meatball/Wanny type offense.

Satele was not ideal for Pep's scheme or the smashmouth style installed by Tuna & his flunkies. SS could do quite well in Lazor's scheme.

Satale wasn't signed for depth. There is a reason that Garner is not a starter in this league

No **** Sherlock. I am aware that Satele will likely start. He still adds depth even if he starts. The point is we only had one guy capable of playing C on the roster. Now we have two. So even if Satele starts, he in essence adds depth. You have to have more than one player on your roster who is capable of handling the duties of each position.

As a Colts fan, I can tell you this. He cannot run block to save his life. His pass blocking isn't much better. Pray to God that you don't actually have to start him. The Colts are so much better after cutting him and Linkensuck.

He doesn't really add depth because Garner is not really good so not sure what depth he brings. Now when Pouncey comes back maybe although Satale has never played guard in NFL . We still likely have one of the worst startingcenters in the NFL no matter who we start until Pouncey comes back.

Well we need to start him bcause GArner and Smith are not capable starters at that position. He likely will be among the worst starting centers but even that is better than Garner or Smith at this position
 
Hey as long as he can hold a block for a couple seconds and doesn't **** up the snap I am happy with this. Going into buffalo with a center with snap issues is a horrible plan.

Satele has played guard in the nfl before.
