Dolphins sign Samson Satele

Solid signing, might as well grab him before someone else does, not much of a loss losing Longo for Satele. I don't think it changes the pecking order unless he comes in and steals the job from Garner. At least Tannehill will be well prepared for taking the snaps from different centers if things go awry once the season starts.

Dolphins signed C Samson Satele.
It's a long overdue signing. Satele fits Miami's scheme and will help fix their snap issues. The Dolphins failed in their attempt to convert guards Shelley Smith and Nate Garner. 29-year-old Satele is the favorite to start at center Week 1 and should hold on to the job until Mike Pouncey returns. This is not a move to be backup. He's starting. They really don't have anyone else.

Rotoworld never knows what they are talking about. Garner is better and if healthy is starting

Sure doesn't make you think pounceys coming back any time soon...

I love your posts man. But why do you incessantly beat this drum? It almost sounds like you're pulling for this scenario.

I'm not pretending that I know what Pouncey's return date will be, but everything we're hearing is 7 to 8 weeks. I'm good with rolling with Nate Garner at center until Pouncey's return. Satele absolutely sucks at the point of attack. But, as we've all stated at times on here, we need more line depth. And if that's what this signing is all about for a half a season, cool.

Great, great insight by Dennis Hickey and Joe.

They are playing their hand at the Center position the best they can.

Sign Satele, allow Garner to compete…see where it stands in a few weeks. Maybe Satele is not needed…maybe he improves the line.

I love the thought process. Props.

Yeah there was really no reason to wait anymore. Glad they signed Satele now than wait until after the first preseason game.

Has anyone noticed that Ireland tended to ignore Hayden's suggestions but Hickey seems to be listening or reading Finheaven.
Hayden does he have you on speed-dial yet?

I have to admit I like the work Dennis Hickey has done. I killed his selection as GM, but I think he has been proactive and def has a vision tied to the HC.

Below is my idea for an offseason plan. While certainly not in lockstep, I love the way Hickey went about things. He and Joe were more wise than I was in wanting to toss Moore aside back in the spring. I am a Moore guy and I was rash there.

Anyways, I like Dennis' work and wish him luck.

When Satele was here I hated him because he doesn't seem to block anyone when he gets out on screens or pulls. He also has issues with bigger tackles.

That being said...HE IS BETTER THAN GARNER!!!! This is a good move, grabbing the only thing available...

Wilfork's is lickin his lips... dinner is served!

Wilfork better get his Achilles in shape and hydrate his fat ass for a 1pm game in South Florida. A heat index of 102 degrees awaits.

And you think Garner is better?

While this strikes me as a 'cause for concern about Mike Pouncey's injury' signing, at least it gives us some depth at C as the worst case.
