i think thats possible also...but if ireland thinks tannehill is a franchise qb i doubt he'd take the chance...i still think its possible though...if ireland did trade out with someone who wanted cox it would cost less for the coming up team than it would with a say jax...i think that might be what this is about...trying to get someone to come up for cox in front of carolina which would run the card up with his name on it
 
I'm still holding out hope for Upshaw. More versatile than Coples and has a better motor. They haven't talked about him here much, but we've been surprised before.

Hoops, if Ireland is able to trade down and still get Tannehill. Who do you like in Round #2 if Miami comes away with a 2nd, 2nd rounder for trading down? i like Kendall Reyes and Ta'amu out of Washington.

Agree on Carolina. I just think Ireland probably "wants" Tannehill, but being his typical self he will want to get "good value". I could see him trying to trade out and still get him...and if KC does take him then Ireland will just say he "stuck to his board" and everyone will be like "Oh Sherman must have told him to not draft him blah blah".
 
I wonder what happened . . . makes very little sense to release him right now. He must be packing on the pounds or beating more women.

I think there is a possibility that KC is trying to Bluff Miami into taking Tannehill @ #8 so a player could fall or drop to them!!!

like both those players very much but doubt reyes gets there...similar player to starks...strong hands good hand use player...taamu may get there but we have solia locked up 2 more years and they are very similar players...

they will get one already...kuechlys falling right into their laps
 
Just search the police blotter for some stupid done by Merling.
 
i will say this though...if ireland did trade out with philly to #15 i'd like to think they'd get more out of it than a mid level 2nd rounder...worst case if you believe tannehill can be had there and he's your guy you take it but id try and bleed the eagles out of a 4th also...something like that

If we pick up a 2nd and a 4th...and still get Tanny. That would be an unbelievable move for us...and I dont think it is out of the realm of possibility. Maybe we can get Carolina and Philly into a bidding war
 
by the way i have kendall reyes on my list of guys for pick #42...if we lose starks after this year i think reyes fills that void no problem...i just don't know that he'll get there...taamu also would be on my list for that pick if not for solia resigning...i like both those guys a lot and think they are terrific late 1st early 2nd round values
 
I wanted Curtis Lofton back in that draft. Oh well...
 
It was necessary in order to re-sign Wake, Long, and sign our draft class. Oh well, his absence won't change too much.
 
Good point. Ireland would be smart to trade down with Philly and then try to get Carolina to move up to number 8 and maybe get a 3rd rounder out of it.

Then Still trade with Philly for them to move up and get the second best DT. Maybe a 2nd and 4th or 5th.

Now we have lots of picks to move around up or down in the draft. We will have lots of options and fans and FO will be happy with any of the picks since we will get value for a number of players at all our need positions.
