Drake

I'm looking forward to him having a good season. Contrary to what some people here think, I believe he'll be at his best when not getting too many carries. I'd say 15 to 18 should be tops for him, specially when you have Gore who's done it before and Ballage should get a few snaps too. No reason to run Drake into the ground with the other two backs we have. Keep him fresh and he'll break some runs for us this year.

Not sure Drake runs a 4.38 40
4.45 is what I'm seeing unless his mother timed
him at his pro day...downhill during a hurricane

All kidding aside Drake's fast just not 4.38 fast

If gieski finished with 70 catches and 800 yards I would not be the least surprised.

I'd be shocked if Mike Gesicki gets 70 catches and 800 yards
I'm not saying, "It's not possible" but

It's only been done 1 time in the past 25 years by a rookie
Jeremy Shockey

I think we have to temper our expectations because
the possibility of 70/800 is highly unlikely

Drake isn't being hyped yet bc he's only have >15 carries in a game 3 times over his career....all within the last 5 games he played. Once he does that on a more regular basis, writers will take notice and his name will be included more when talking about young NFL talent. Love the excitement but let's remember, he was only 36th in carries last year and 28th in yards....and both were less than Cam Newton.

That said, i think it would be in Drake's benefit, as well as Miami's, for the coaches to watch his carry total and share carries with Gore and/or Ballage. What makes Drake unique is his burst and ability in the open field. It wouldn't make sense to wear him down inside the tackles early in a season when you can split the reps with a solid vet like Gore and keep him fresh throughout.

Gore will get about 8 carries a game, Drake will get 12-15 carries a game and Ballard will average about 3.

I don't think I'll know how to react if we actually get some quality run blocking. Drake was making yardage out of nothing last year, imagine if he has holes to run through. It's been a long time since we've had a oline that moved people.

barring injury I really think gores carries might only be a fraction less than Drakes. that being said i reaaly love drake and think he can be top 3 in the league. all I was referencing and you mentioned it, but unless they are a high pick, or were a past probowler, youre not going to be considering top whatever at a position in the journalistic world unless you are ALL world. David Johnson, Saquan, and Drake all have identical seasons. in the sports word its not gonna be like "pick who you think the top is, it could be anyone of these guys" its gonna be like "Barkley is the top in the league, followed by Johnson, and then Drake is third best"
Hey, as long as we know what he's doing that's all that matters. I just wanna win Baby I'm glad we're all agreeing, surprised the haters are my out. Just shows there's nothing bad to say about him and he's a pretty good pass blocker

I dont know why the Fins could not play as well as that the entire year, but it certainly shows their potential when they are healthy and have speed!

Because this game against the Pats was our Superbowl. The Pats were already making the playoffs and had bigger fish to fry. The sad reality!!!

Yeah, I'm not feeling that. Drake is going to get 15 plus rushes a game plus other 5 touches in the passing game to make it 20 touches a game. Drake is a starting running back, who has game breaking speed and moves.

I swear every time he touched the ball I almost expected him to make something happen. Gase learned from the mistake of making cam a specialist and not unleashing the beast. Gore will get his 8 touches, until ballage starts putting it together and takes some of his carries. he's my sleeper pick to surprise someone people. Kid is good a receiver, overall great depth at the position.

I'm from little Haiti and have always loved gore, I get mad thinking about us passing on him and taking ronnie brown. We coulda had Aaron freaking Rodgers and Gore, I wish there was a parallel universe i go to where that happened

I still think we add a 4th running back to the mix, wouldn't count out the rumors of CJ Anderson even though it became a long shot after the team signed Gore. Could see Drake, Anderson and the additional add getting a bulk of the carries with Ballage playing special teams and learning from Gore for a year.

If Jarvis Landry had a good rookie season 80 catches 758 yards, I dont see why Mike cant either. Is it realllllly outside the realm that Mike becomes Ryan's favorite target lol. Brian hartline had a breakout year when tanny was throwing to him posting back to back 70 catch 1,000 yard seasons, he trusted him the most out of any receiver. Btw that was the only two times brian did that. Mike has the potential to do exactly that, become a reliable match up beating catcher. All it takes is for them to develop a chemistry in training camp than booooom favorite target. Might I add that gase loves his tight ends and made Julius Thomas look like Antonio gates for two years.

Same here, if he approaches those numbers in his rookie year, he will certainly be an exception. I'd expect him to get maybe 35/430/6.
