Eagles interested in Morris

all im saying is that i wouldn't trade him to the eagles unless they overpayed because we don't need to dump him. he is a solid backup and i'd rather have his versatility and experience than take a chance on a 5th round or later draft pick.

Except there is a good chance that will happen if the team decides to keep Harris as the 3rd down running back. He's in a battle with Harris, Gordon and Minor and right now I'm thinking Harris wins that job for the 'potential' value and the fact he's been a killer on special teams. Right now they are pretty close on that depth chart. A team offers a pick for Morris I see the team taking it no matter what round.

i cant see them getting rid of Morris.. hes been very consistent. Gordon and Minor should be the only viable trade options.. THIS year

i agree with that.

i was going to say something like that in my last post, but couldnt think of how to say it. :( so it got deleted.

i think the fins would rather have morris over a 6th round draft pick. though a 5th may raise some eyebrows.

Morris isn't going anywheres, at least until the 5th week of the season! IMO

Do NOT trade him for a real low pick! I dont care what people say his value is. His value to our team is what matters. So if a team wants him we better get a 3rd or 4th. Hes the surest thing at rb that we have! His versatility alone can save a team a roster spot or two.

The seahawks couldn't get anyone to give them a second for S. Alexander so there is no way we get a 3rd or 4th for him, maybe a 5th.

Don't compare Alexander( or Edge) situation to Morris.

Morris is career backup not a starter. To the right team hes worth higher then a 5th.

Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports there is some talk the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/29/nfl">Philadelphia Eagles may have some interest in Miami Dolphins RB Sammy Morris. The team is seeking a veteran backup running back with size.

hmmm i wonder what we could get for him

thanks for the info man, maybe we could also throw in thompson and get a good deal, maybe like a 2nd or 3rd round pick who knows

Morris at BEST is a 5th rounder. Were talking about a guy on the FA market a year ago and signed here cheap. Anyone could have had him then.
A players worth is based on the desperation of the team that needs him. With that being said, the eagles weren't willing to give the bills a 3rd for Henry even when Westbrook was holding out. However, things change and only the eagles know how Westbrook is doing at camp. Maybe they will give you a 4th or 5th if Westbrook isn't playing that well since he didn't get the contract he wanted. :confused2:

A #2....payback's a b****!

What most of you are missing here, is that NO one will give anything for Minor or Gordon. Even if a team wants one of them, they know that they will probably be cut. Thus not having to give up anything for them. So if you want any kind of return, Morris is the one that will be traded. He is a valuable team member, but that just points more-so at the age old saying "sell high, buy low". He is probably at his highest "worth" right now.

Buckhalter is hurt again maybe lost for the season the Iggles might be a bit on the desperate side....I think we could get a 5th conditional 4th and maybe we could package a wr (good idea we are wr heavy right now) for a 4th conditional 3rd.
