FA who could improve Fins

veldheer athletically fits what we want to do but can he stay healthy...that's the rub

Maybe ... but if he isn't, we need to be all over this. If we can afford to bring him and Albert we'd have something going. Albert, Pouncey and Mack would look pretty darn good.

I want a veteran RB. MJD interests me. He is a leader. Wants to win. Good in the passing game.

C Fernando Valesco (Steelers - injury permitted)
OG Rodger Saffold (Rams)

Mack wants to stay in Cleveland and will let the Browns match any offers he gets. He won't be leaving.
 
I like the thought of getting Asamoah, maybe try to add a tackle too w/o breaking the bank, maybe RT? LT in draft?

What about linebackers?

This is very true too.

I think we need to keep Grimes, Carroll, and Clemons. Cut Patterson, he was good but too expensive and about as injury prone as they come. Let Taylor earn a spot, or draft a new corner too, Davis isn't impressive.

We def need one of the DT's back though too

Your right I stand corrected. He will be in the final year of his contract which will be the biggest cap hit on the steelers so a trade is a possibility.
 
I'm sure both Mack and Albert will both be on our radar. Mack isn't going anywhere though. He'll get tagged. Albert will cost a chunk of dough, but would be worth it. Don't count on landing any top notch TEs in free agency. I still hope we get a shot at Ebron in the late 1st (although not likely since TE are becoming more and more a premium on offense). By the time we pick in round one, the top linemen will be long gone, so we had better grab one or two in free agency. If we somehow were able to get Mack, that would be ENORMOUS. But there is about .00001% chance of that happening. Albert would be most likely. It will be an interesting off season. We shall see. But I'm not ready for that yet. I want to see us in the playoffs.
 
Jon Asamoah. We need help at guard (amongst others), but this guy is pretty good with the pass and run block. Plus, he is young. It would be wise to build the line with a little youth, but youth with experience, and this guy has it.
 
As others have said and i was thinking when i read the thread title....Jarius Byrd for our Secondary, as i think i read he wants out of Buffalo. Albert for our OL. Mack would be nice also, but he wants to stay in Cleveland. Like CK, i wanted Nicks when he came out, so if we can get him, that'd be awesome to me. I think we should look to the draft for a RB though.

Good player, but SUCH an ENIGMA. I'm gonna stay clear of that one.
