Feeley Should Start

Gus is definitely a "stop gap" option. But I have a hard time equating the question..."Do you make value decisions that are going to be best long-term for the organization?" ... with starting AJ either. I have to be honest with you. In the beginning of camp I was rooting for AJ. But every time that I see him make a pitiful decision that leads to bad results for the team, my support slides further and further in the other direction. My confidence in his skills and game management suffers each time he "looks like a deer in the headlights" during a game.

Did you watch him play yesterday ?

From your post i assume you didnt.. he actually made good decesions and steping up in the pocket. On one play he stiff armed Blitzer to get the pass off..
The guy is improving...

You make a post like this after last nights game where AJ did NOTHING wrong and I no longer take your opinion seriously. If anything you should have slid the other way.

Let's just agree to disagree because I feel that anymore conversation with you will just be a waste of my time.

Let Feeley be the starter, learn the system by playing in it, and if he survives the whole year without getting injured we're either going to be exactly where we'd be with gus, except that we'll KNOW what Feeley is as a QB,

......or we're going to watch Feeley get better and better throughout the season.

With Feeley as the starter it's a win win even if we lose lose.

Start gus and it's a lose lose and more lose.

While I agree with your post, the one problem is that Feeley most likely won't survive the season. He holds onto the ball too long and is terrible under pressure. But I agree with you, Feeley should start.

Against the 2nd string?

Whatever floats your boat, but if he performed the same against the first teamers, I might be of a different opinion.

AJ should be the QB for the rest of the year. Unless we lign someone that knows the system and can come in and compete better than what we have. InFINSible is right on with his original post. Every one else

4/7 against chicago's first teamers in the only chance he's had playing with the first string. gus has not hit even 50% of his passes against the opponents first team.

Feeley on his first start was 4/7 35yrds 0turnovers..

If thats your opinion of awful, I assume you that u must think Ferottes performance so far is just PUTRID and hes a waste of space.,NO?

My stance is that they both suck...

Remember, I'm not a Gus supporter either.

my 2 cents

AJ should start

& we should stick it out with him the whole yr to give him his chance.

Gus is over the hill, his time has passed, I personally never liked the idea of signing him..

Then WTF, are you trying to say here? G-D man, you're just wasting everyone's time....

For some of you out there, this may be hard to understand, but our best chance to win this year falls with AJ not Gus. This should not be a who is better Gus or AJ, this should be what is best for the team, and InFin is 110% right, we need to take a look at AJ, and do it now, or we will never know what we have.

With Gus we know what he have, and that is an inconsistent QB that will play good for 2 games, then look horrible the next, he is the perfect backup, he can come into a game and win it for you, but once he starts taking a pounding for a few games, he all of a sudden becomes the total opposite, and starts making dumb and weak throws.

With AJ you have a QB that on a very horrible offense last year, showed some light of talent, with all the pounding and injuries he was taking, he showed toughness, and in times when the team looked in trouble of falling way behind in a game, he showed the fire that makes a QB succeed. His biggest problem is that he stares down his main receiver, and seems to throw 1 to 2 horrible passes a game, well that is where in camp as the starter he can begin to fix these problems.....will not happen as a 2nd string qb.
