Feeley To Start Bears Game

except 1 of those qbs was a big 12 guy and the other an independant; ware @ Houston, dont remember where klingler was from but it was a big 12 school
I was more saying that they were guys who put up big stats, but did nothing in the NFL. Tim Couch is a good example too.

feeley needs to come out and not stare down his wr's and be smart with the football and maybe throw a touchdown and throw 0 int's..........

If I were running the Phins I would start Ferrotte due to his overall greater experience (especially in Linehan's offense). I just don't think A.J. is going to pan out. Part of this idea comes from the fact that he couldn't beat out Joey Harrington at Oregon, Harrington has been unimpressive thus far in his career. Tedford's systems help QB's dramatically at the college level as well. Why couldn't Feeley beat him out?
Feeley did beat out Harrington. When Feeley was a junior and Harrington a sophomore, Feeley began the season as the starter and played very well until he was injured. In fact, he was a mid season nominee for the Davey O'Brien Award. When the injury to his elbow forced him to the sidelines, Harrington took over. The next spring, Feeley was not able to practice and compete at that point to win the job back, so Harrington became the starter almost by default. When AJ came back healthy in the fall, Harrington still retained the starting role. Harrington did play well his junior season and AJ hardly got on the field.

I'll believe it when I see it...not a big deal this early anyway.

Oh, an AJ hater ??

10 years from now, that won't even qualify as a trivia question...don't read anything into the lineups until the 3rd or even 4th preseason game...

I don't understand why sides always have to be drawn with our QB's. This mentality really gets old!

They both play for the Miami Dolphins.

Dude, how long ago was that? You're saying he's a bust because he didn't beat out an eventual first-rounder like seven years ago? He actually lost the job after an elbow injury, if I'm not mistaken.

Doesn't that go both ways? Harrington's stats would be increased also if they were both in the same system.

I think more fans are pulling for AJ because we saw him battle through a lot last year and think he deserves a chance to prove he can actually win some games. Aside from that, if either QB is going to pan out I'd want the younger one.

The only similarities between Gus and Gannon is they are old. Gannon made plays out of the pocket, and used his head. The only time gus ever used his head he got a concussion.

And I hope AJ starts just to piss people off like you!

:jk:

The comp is nowhere near over, Gus is still neck and neck w/ AJ. For all anyone knows Saban chose AJ by using logic that AJ is the incumbent and he gets the first, or he could have used alphabetical, flipped a coin, who knows. People read too much into this. I would venture to bet, neither AJ nor Gus play a whole lot and Sage and Berlin get most of the PT.

If I was coaching I start AJ, for the simple fact that AJ is well known as a bad practice player.
If AJ is keeping up with Gus when he is not at his best in practice , then game time should clear up any doubts.
