OK, COACH!!!
Glad you know more than Saban and Linehan. Should have saved money and hired you!

I was more saying that they were guys who put up big stats, but did nothing in the NFL. Tim Couch is a good example too.Boik14 said:except 1 of those qbs was a big 12 guy and the other an independant; ware @ Houston, dont remember where klingler was from but it was a big 12 school
Feeley did beat out Harrington. When Feeley was a junior and Harrington a sophomore, Feeley began the season as the starter and played very well until he was injured. In fact, he was a mid season nominee for the Davey O'Brien Award. When the injury to his elbow forced him to the sidelines, Harrington took over. The next spring, Feeley was not able to practice and compete at that point to win the job back, so Harrington became the starter almost by default. When AJ came back healthy in the fall, Harrington still retained the starting role. Harrington did play well his junior season and AJ hardly got on the field.Vessel17 said:If I were running the Phins I would start Ferrotte due to his overall greater experience (especially in Linehan's offense). I just don't think A.J. is going to pan out. Part of this idea comes from the fact that he couldn't beat out Joey Harrington at Oregon, Harrington has been unimpressive thus far in his career. Tedford's systems help QB's dramatically at the college level as well. Why couldn't Feeley beat him out?

Dude, how long ago was that? You're saying he's a bust because he didn't beat out an eventual first-rounder like seven years ago? He actually lost the job after an elbow injury, if I'm not mistaken.Vessel17 said:I just don't think A.J. is going to pan out. Doesn't that go both ways? Harrington's stats would be increased also if they were both in the same system.Vessel17 said:Tedford's systems help QB's dramatically at the college level as well. Why couldn't Feeley beat him out?

Captain Lou said:The only similarities between Gus and Gannon is they are old. Gannon made plays out of the pocket, and used his head. The only time gus ever used his head he got a concussion.
