Fiedler Ranked 20th in AFC...and there's only 16 teams!!!

Are you people who say Fiedler can't get it done because he hasn't done it in 3 years aware that Brett Favre took four years to get to the NFC Championship game? It's clear that he sucked and that Green Bay should have gotten rid of him. :rolleyes:

Are you aware that Peyton Manning got to exactly the number of playoffs in his first three years that Jay did and won no games? He didn't even make the playoffs two of his first four years, and he still hasn't won a single playoff game. In fact, he has only seen as many playoff games in 5 years as Jay has in 3. He must really suck. I wonder why the Colts haven't cut him loose yet. :rolleyes:

It's sad to see Jay haters have to go to this extreme to find something bad to say about him. Can't you just accept that he is the QB and root for him and the team?

Farve and Manning don't miss five games every year, and Jay still has more INT's then TD's this year. Favre has a SB victory and Manning does not have the #3 D to help him out.

Enough with this Fiedler is god crap, he provided a spark in one game, yes I'm glad he did and I hope he plays above his talent again for eight more games. And enough w/ the stats of who has done this and that next year I would like to see a quarterback that has the tools to pass the ball and be able to move around (a mix of Fiedler & Griese but with a better arm) this and a decent o-line would have Ricky Running for 2,500 yds per season and the Dolphins would enjoy a return to glory or at best go deep into the playoffs. :judge:

I remember exactly two impressive 4th quarter coembacks...last year in Denver, and last sunday.

you have a short term memory my friend...go back to 2001 and i'll point out FIVE of them, four of which he was directly reponsible IN ONE SEASON:

oakland(shame on you for forgetting this one)
@seattle
@indy(chambers break out day)
@buffalo(down 11 in the 4th)
denver(the d was more responsible here)

Yes you were right, I should have remembered this one. My memory is clouded by the other Oakland game...the playoff game (the one that meant something) where we had HUGE opening drive momentum, were about to score a TD to go up and take out the Oakland crowd early, and Fiedler threw Oakland a giftwrapped interception which they promply had a huge return and then a quick TD, thus crushing our momentum which we never recovered from.
That's the Oakland game that keeps standing out in my mind...but I suppose you're right, I should remember the other one too.
:help:

Dolphins fans need to start being Dolphins fans for once. The crowd on Sunday night gave Fiedler a roar when he came onto the field. That kind of support gives a player confidence. That kind of support is what we need out of EVERYONE towards Fiedler. When we cheer for him, he produces. It's a known fact now.

I will be at the Jets game and will be kicking anyone's butt who is booing at our QB. He is the MIAMI DOLPHINS QB and he is awesome. GO JAY, GO DOLPHINS!!!

If I remmember correctly, that game happened a week after L. Smith had 44 carries for an insane amount of yards and was out of gas, he could hardly walk that day yet alone run, Jay had a bad day, but he asked to do more than he is suppose to do, and he couldn't do it that day. Interceptions happen for multiply reasons, its not only the QB's fault, WR's need to fight for the ball, (like Chris did Sunday night avoiding a Fielder interception), and if they run the wrong route, well the QB looks like an idoit throwing it to the wrong team, but its the Wr's fault. Fielder doesn't throw nice spirals, but if we can run our conserative offense, run on 1st, run on 2nd, I like Jay's chances of managing the game well enough for us to win, and getting the 3rd and short conversions Running is suppose to be what we do and if we can't do that why should we expect Jay to Succeed, where our best offensive weapon failed.

LMFAO!!!!! Sage is the number one QB in the NFL!! All pro David Garrad is number 2. Billy Voltek, number 5 is a future hall of famer!

Andy, you are not comparing apples to apples. If your going to make comments using stats, don't skew the numbers by including QB's that have made 6 throws all season.

LMAO...got the sarcasm meter on full blast eh?

hate to break it to ya, but miami gets crushed that day whether fiedler is the qb or joe montana...fact is, the boys were dead after a grueling OT victory the week before in which our rb carried 40 times and the defense fought for every millimeter(another comeback win by the way ;)). then turn around and fly 3000 miles to face a very good, and rested raider team that had clinched the #2 seed weeks earlier and were on cruise control.

the raiders efficient offense moved the ball AT WILL and our #1 scoring threat was asleep in the backfield from the beating he had taken the week before. but you're right, miami would have crushed oakland that day if not for fiedler's errant pass:rolleyes:

Fair enough...I am certainly not implying that any of those guys are better than Jay. Just suggestion that, among starting QB's, he is not demonstrating the efficiency we need to take us deep into the playoffs.
:goof:

OK, this lists anyone who's thrown a ball all year. Kinda stupid to use it. The point that Fiedler is not one of the AFC's best QBs is one that doesn't even need to be made. Hell, by this report it looks like Sage Rosenfels oughtta be the man with his hands under Ruddy's tush. David Garrard for Pro Bowl!!

What it comes down to and Fiedler said it himself is that he has to be consistent and make good choices. If he does not and throws a few interceptions the Fiedler bandwagon will be once again very light, lets hope for the latter not to happen.

ya know what dude, I have been a Fiedler hater for awhile now. After Sunday nights game, he proved alot to me. Now I'm not saying we dont draft or go after a QB this offseason but I am saying He gained alot of respect from this Phin fan.
#9 is our man(for now), lets get behind him and support him the rest of the season, hey ya never know what can happen in this crazy league called the NFL.
Heres to Fiedler #9 :drinkers:

Let's just wait a bit. i'm glad he did what he did but he is still Fiedler. Everybody was clamoring about Griese and Fiedler boys said he has to prove it over a stretch, etc. well, we've already seen Fiedler before and he'll have to prove it over "a stretch" as well. don't forget that it was the Skins he pulled this off against. i just want everyone to be real about this and i've gotten hints that some folks think that "we're back with a vengance" again.
