Fins sign LB Malik Reed

Sorry, but I have to just hate this move. I could see us losing Cameron Goode because we acquired a mediocre backup LB who was familiar with our DC.

I can almost guarantee you that if the Dolphins try to stash Goode again this year, he will be gone. I think Goode has the potential to be an excellent rotational player and backup; and his pay is so low it doesn't even count against the cap.

This move may also limit the opportunity of any other new rookie acquisitions.

A strong veteran defense will get us into the playoffs, but a deep and strong OL will win us the Super Bowl.

So far, the Dolphins OL moves have been pathetic and weak.

Dolphins needed Cameron Fleming, the best swing tackle in the NFL.

You should have stopped at "Sorry" - rLOL

Regarding depth on defense…

At this point, Miami hasn’t been rumored interested in any DT FAs. With J. Jenkins unsigned and Wilkins/Seiler contracts coming up, should Miami fortify with a mid-tier back-up? I don’t know anything about Bronson/Twyman.
Yes!

Both of those two are longshots. Itd be nice if they step up... but dont bet the farm there.

I don’t think it suggests that. It certainly doesn’t say that, because it wasn’t my intention. Lots of signings are just ho-hum, back of roster players without much upside competing to show they can fill snaps without causing any problems. That’s what this is. Nothing more, nothing less.
Not Chris Greer signings! Ha ha Sheet - The only signings that cuzs’ made this year that I’m on the fence with is Mikey White and that dude with the mullet!

All the rest look like pretty damn good signings to me.

I was choked a little bit bout Morested but you guys have gotten me over it! 🏂

A killer secondary and disruptive front can often make adequate linebackers look like world beaters. I think we'll be pleasantly surprised with this new crop, excited to see what else is added via draft/UDFA's, maybe a late camp acorn falls off a tree somewhere? I have complete faith in Fangio to find/mold a hidden gem.
I've seen us field good d-lines and talented secondaries (not to the level of Ramsey/Howard) and it be completely negated by a team just hitting short passes over the middle all game with impunity.

If you really squint your eyes and watch the screen for a bit she like that alien on Star Trek - Deep Space Nine! “Quark”. 😑
You’re showing your age, half of the posters on here don’t know what deep space nine is. Circumstances might think it’s 90s porn. I actually loved deep space nine 😂

If Fangio believes he can be useful enough to sign, that’s good enough for me.

It’s a much more worthwhile opinion and endorsement than the weekend warrior GM’s that watched youtube clips, read stats, then offered up their hot takes.

Well, there was a vid called "Deep Space 69".

Not exactly the pinnacle of film masterpieces, but ........,

Yes, and Vic Fangio was not the defensive cordinator of any of those units. New Sheriff in town spud, it's no longer glass half empty time in my opinion.
