Fins' Talent Well Isn't As Dry As Some Claim.

Above average performance from a lot on your list but the problem w this roster is the gaping porn star holes at certain positions, both guard positions, center etc all don’t even deserve a roster spot on an NFL team.

Kiko is trash and gets exposed weekly. I like what I see from baker but McMillan..,hot garbage dude.

Good thing we drafted Harris instead of tj watt or Forrest lamp right?

And, what talent they do have is wasted by clueless coaches.

Interesting that a team with wasted talent and clueless coaches can be 7-6. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in the NFL unless their starting QB is elite. Is that what you’re saying? Because something doesn’t add up.

Of course, the team has talent. The problem is most of the coaches haven't got a clue how to maximize their potential.:bang: If we had better coaches, this team and our record would be better.

Not sure how/Why New England is brought up?

2-3. Btw any team can have elite players. Doesn’t mean they’re a good team

Guess no one wants to say which Miami players they think are elite if any at all. Was just a simple question to see what everyone thinks. Is Tunsil elite?
Tunsil has absolutely been elite this year, and so has Howard. That's it though... But those are two damn good positions to have elite players at.

I think Grant should be tier 1. Those ST TDs flip games + he’s ascending as an offensive player. TD vs the Raiders was sick. I think Stills is a long term excellent player - he under contract for a while so I think we are good there.

Not going to get into the whole “elite” conversation as I don’t think it makes any sense.

This. We need some coordinators w EXPERIENCE. Having a gorilla (dressed up like a human) run your D is just stupid.

We have Tunsil and Howard...not a single one of our other players would be seen as top 15 at their position...that doesn't even put them in the pro-bowl, just viewed as good starters. Hell, even Minkah isn't seen as a top 20 rookie at the moment. The narrative some create to support their ignorance,

I'd say its more of a team construction problem... The Fins most glaring weaknesses are very focused... For example, the interior OL, all 3 players and their backups suck. The LBs cant cover, all of them. It makes it easier to exploit as opposed to having holes spread out across the entire starting lineup.

When you actually take the time to list out our players it isn't that bad:

Must keep players/ascending youngsters -

Rank 1:
Tunsil
Fitzpatrick
Drake
Wilson
Howard
Baker

Rank 2:
Grant
Jones
Kiko
McCain
James
Godchaux/Taylor
Jason Sanders

Key vets- Gore, Tanne, Wake, Stills....Quinn has been coming on.... Josh Sitton could be an absolute HUGE upgrade if he's able to stay healthy next year. Tunsil and a healthy Sitton is probably the best left side of the O-Line in the NFL. Very understated imo how much his specific injury hurt us this year.

Undecided/need to improve:
Gesiciki
Branch
McMillan
Ballage
Bolden
Butler

This was just a quick off the top or my head list feel free to add on. Not looking good for guys like Harris, Tank, Asiata and others but really this team is not in that bad of shape. We have talent on both sides of the ball and a good amount of it is young and improving.

Here, IMO, is a reasonable proxy. Take All-Pro players, first/second team. Those are 'elite,' with little argument. Exclude any one time finalist - I don't want 'flash in the pan.' How many players on each team make All Pro? OK, so very few elite players. Now, how many does Miami have? Depends? Do we count 'was' All Pro at one time? Do we count 'injured." Do we count ST (Denny)? Most people don't.
For 'was,' Wake, Jones, Sitton.
Current, maybe none, although I can make a case for X.
Not unreasonable to be there soon . . . X, Fitz, Tunsil.

But, I think it's more important to have some solid players and, even top teams, are loaded with mostly AVERAGE players. Yeah, 2-3 elite, a handful of solid, and a LOT of average. I've said a couple of times, what would Miami's record be with an average or above OC/DC? Yeah, this team has talent and is a LONG way from 'dry.'

Howard. Tunsil is knocking on the door.

Drake and Wilson are in a car in the driveway.

Yah I wanted to as well only thing holding me back with him at this point is his size/chance to get injured but he's #1 on the tier 2 list for a reason

I put stills in the key vets list just because hes a little older than most of those other guys, same with Gore Tanne etc
Stills is 26, still very young in football terms...
