I think this will be the big match up next week. Usually Jones is on him with very little success. I think with jones back fitz will be the answer for gronk and jones can play his usual spot.

You may be right but I'm hopeful Reshad Jones returns fully healthy to the backfield and this permits Minkah to return to his role he had in the first 2 games mainly as a slot corner.
Incidentally, Jerome Baker had a lot of success at Ohio State covering the TEs. He is deceptively fast but Gronk may be too big for him.

Minkah would get destroyed by Gronk. He can't match up with him physically.

They will have Josh Gordon next week most likely so we’ll have to put X on Gordon. Double Gronk ( McMillian/TJ) at the LOS. Hope McCain can win vs Hogan and also make sure we cover the RBs with Baker and Minkah.

I wouldn’t say abused, he had a rough initial drive playing FS but after he got settled he was all over field.

As cerebral as he is, it’s not easy to go from corner to safety and play excellent.

THIS.

He's been training the last five weeks for nickel. Then had to switch in pretty much live time. So he struggled initially but after that was "all over the field," like you say. Got his sea legs a bit -- and that's only scratching the surface.

He's LEGIT.

Love the way he plays the game. He makes Miami better no matter where he lines up.

Agreed but he would be dominated if he had to cover Gronk 1vs1. Even Gesicki had success against Minkah during camp. I love Minkah but Gronk is one of the greatest TEs of all time. We will need to double Gronk and use Minkah elsewhere on the field.

Minkah won't out-physical Gronk but he will play him well technically. Which is to say that Gronk will still get his but he'll be contained somewhat.

If Gordon plays, Miami won't be able to defend Gronk like Detroit did.

Jerome actually did a fair job defending Cook today on that pick play at the goal line. He got there just in time to force his knee down before he crossed the line. I'm not sure we had any other LB's that could have made that play.

And did anyone notice who chased Jordy Nelson down on that long pass play? Yep. #55.

Also, it was quite nice that Cook didn't destroy us like he did last season.

I think you just throw X on Gordon. Gordon probably doesn’t play a full game. I’m guessing 20 snaps or so?

I think you double Gronk with McMillian and TJ and scheme out the rest to their personel. I think they lost Dorsett so not sure what speed the have to beat us deep. Cover the RBs and be aware of crossing routes and I think we can contain.
