Five reason why the Dolphins will be better than the NY Jets

you do know I have been posting here since 2004, right? Go search through the archives. 2009 & 2010 are relevant, it's ok to bash my team but when I defend them it's not ok? explain to me how that works,

and now vaark chimes in to tell me how great Philbin is, I wonder if he gets as much credot developing Rodgers as Mike Sherman gets for developing Favre?

Rex called and ran his OWN defenses, he didn't have a coach calling everything. he wasn't riding anyone's coattails. The great Raven Defenses were w/ rex running the show, the great Packer O's were w/ McCarthy running the show. see the difference?

I am not smearing Philbin, just pointing out the fact that McCarthy ran that offense. Philbin could turn out to be a great HC but it's silly to proclaim greatness already just like I didn't w/ rex when you were talling me how great Sparano was going into 2009.

I do know that seeing as how I can read. I honestly don't remember hearing much from you before 2009. I don't think every other thread was about the Jets then but I could be wrong.

I'll be expecting the Jets to be the superior team......again

The Jets have never been a superior team to any other team let alone Miami.

The jets have been superior to Miami for most of the last decade or so.

I was posting at a similar frequency pre 2009, I don't tun and hide when my team doesn't do as well.

:lol: Moore is great when he doesn't have pressure to win, he'd melt here.

It's all a joke, I really believe the jets suck and that Matt Moore is the greatest. I understand you don't need quality QB play to win and the Jets win in spite of bad QB play b/c it's so easy to do that.

:rolleyes2:

I never claimed Moore is awesome or anything. Just pointing out the near undeniable fact that Moore sucks less.

The plain and simple fact is that NOTHING in Tony Sparano's resume qualified him to be an NFL HC in 2008, and his tenure in Miami certainly did NOT make him a good candidate to be an NFL OC in 2012. He got both gigs because he was Bill Parcells' pal: Parcells was the GM in Miami and a Parcells disciple, Tannenbaum, is the GM in NY.

Jest fans like Junc keep claiming that he's going to somehow improve the Jests' offense but that seems to largely be wishful thinking since there's absolutely no evidence suggesting that Sparano can be even a competent offensive coordinator. His offenses in Miami, after Pennington was hurt, sucked big time.

Sanchez is the last starting QB in the AFC East Id want on my team right now. Give me Brady, Fitzpatrick and Moore first.

He did pull off a lot of stunning 2 minute drills. Stunning in the sense that you really couldnt believe that any professional football head coach could be that incompetent.

..and Garrard, Vince Young, Thigpen and probably even Tebow. I've maintained all along that the objective litmus test of Sanchez's value is assess just how many starters in the league he could likely unseat. At this point I don't see more than 3 or 4 if even that.

Didn't read the whole thread, & no disrespect to the author, but that sounded like a really opinionated, homeristic, unbiased take by the author that did little to support her points with statistics. I also think it's a little presumptuous to think that just because we got rid of Brandon Marshall we magically are assured to have a "harmonious locker-room". "Superior Team Character" is also a ridiculous category because there's no real possible way to measure a collective organizations character, yes we picked a couple of team captains a couple of years ago (some of whom are no longer on the roster), one of which happens to be Koa Misi, whom was recently arrested for going "Juggernaut" on someone's front door. The Jets have also added one of the perceived best character people in all of sports in the Christian, Tim Tebow. I'm not saying one team has better character than the other, I just think the category is asinine and impossible to really judge.

With that said, I still think we'll finish with more wins than the Jets.

15-9 against Miami is superior? Oh, it's because the Jets are elite and Miami isn't, right?

Since when did we start comparing ourselves to the Jets....my how this franchise has fallen.

At least two straight years actually and apparently

You let me know when moore ever starts and wins a meaningful game in this league.

maybe he isn't but at least he isn't our HC like Grandpa Gailey and his incredibly mediocre resume which looks very much like that of Tony Sparano as a HC.

I'm expecting a better O not b/c of the OC change but b/c of the health and improvement of the OL. I know we have talent to be a good offense and as long as the Ol is good our O will be good. It has nothing to do w/ Tony.

he wasn't an OC in Miami, he didn't run the offenses. gailey has run the offenses which have been mediocre to bad under him in Buffalo and most of his career his offenses have been medicore when he was the OC.

Sanchez is the last starting QB in the AFC East Id want on my team right now. Give me Brady, Fitzpatrick and Moore first.

Brady is obvious but if you took the other 2 over Sanchez you obviously don't want to win.

True, you should start w/ beating out the Bills for 3rd place then start to worry about the better teams in this league.

At least two straight years actually and apparently

since 1998 the jets are 19-9 against Miami
since 2002 the jets have made 5 playoff apps winning 6 playoff games, Miami has made 1 winning ZERO
since 2002 the jets have finished ahead of Miami 7 of 10 seasons

yes we have been superior

You know the title game is the NFC Championship game, right?

No, I don't know that. Seeing as how that game wins you nothing, I consider it just another playoff game that gets you yet another free tshirt.

Super Bowl = Title

After all, that's what you're winning...a title.

Regardless, Manning did a lot in that "title game" as well. You know, he only stood in the pocket and tough a vicious road beating at the hands of one of the toughest defenses in the league. And he got up time and time and time again.

Yeah, he did nothing.
