flashes of brilliance,

I guess we'll just have to disagree. I don't agree with using the words "flashes of brilliance" with any QB except Mike Vick, because unless you're talking about some kind of Brett Favre, Mike Vick, John Elway feat of strength where you duck multiple tacklers run around and zing off a laser off your back foot 40 yards downfield right on the money, quarterbacks can't show "flashes of brilliance" except in their consistency, which means "brilliance" can't really be measured in "flashes".

Again, I'd have to find out from Migs himself whether he actually attended these camps or not, but I would be surprised if he did.

What I was concerned with is posters are seeing what he wrote, and are taking like it was written by someone like Alex Marvez or Jason Cole. Migs didn't state at the top of the article that he went to the mini-camps, so I am a little confused...I think it's more likely he is reporting "word of mouth" type stuff, which is fine I really appreciate how he gives these updates on his site on what is going on in Dolphinsland, as kind of a summary of ALL media reports coming out from anywhere about the Phins. His site is very valuable that way.

There's nothing to disagree about, I understand your post, I was giving him the benefit of a doubt, his terminology was the same as some other reporters. I understand your use of the word, I think they are more dazzle by the type of throw sometimes. Consistency is defintely the key word in AJ's life right now. He needs to be that very much. If only he'd played more to get a sense of him. You broke down his performance with the eagles last year and gave him a pretty nice passing grade. Unfortunately he got behind our OL and couldn't reproduce what you outlined in your report. So for me, AJ is still a work in progress, if he learns to read D's, with his arm, he has a bright future.

This is the kind of thing that shows you that some links are meaningless. The fact that something has a link attached to it doesn't mean it's some kind of gospel coming down from God.

Damn maybe this isn't Migs' website. But Hugo Guzman is definitely someone from this board, if I'm not mistaken.

LOL apologies to Migs if this turns out not to be his!!!!

Hey Ck, btw, where is Mig's????, haven't read him in awhile. Do you know what happened to him?

He says he checks the board but never posts anymore as he's been extremely busy.

OFFICIAL RETRACTION!! Migs does NOT run miamifootball365.com

I don't know who does. But I was about 95% sure its someone from the board. SORRY MIGS!

Minicamp means absolutely nothing. Nothing in evaluating players, nothing in position battles, nothing as far as cuts or coaching or ANYTHING. It is a teaching session. If AJ threw 12 picks it would still mean nothing, if Ronnie Browns deficated in his pants even that would mean nothing, if Nick Saban had a stroke after watching the offensive line trip and break their neck while getting into their three point stance that would mean nothing either as long as he was ready for training camp. What we saw last weekend was mostly for the rookies to meet the vets and the vets to use oneliners in front of the fans(When Zack called the rookies "Young Bucks" ). It is also for the coaches to make first impressions and instil fear into the players. Its all just one big game of grabass. Training Camp and Preseason is what matters

As much as I appreciate Migs and his amateur reporting, keep in mind that miamifootball365.com is operated by Migs from this here message board (columnist, I believe he's a mod as well).

His site is 100% commentary. He does offer up some interviews that he gets on his own every now and then, and it is possible that he may even have gone to a mini-camp or two this weekend, but his primary source of information are what actual sports writers have already said and written.

As such, I believe he's prone to mistakes. For instance, I believe he exaggerated Saban's statement that he would like to see more assertiveness from Ronnie Brown, into his statement saying "Ronnie Brown has not looked impressive"

I also believe that "flashes of brilliance" statement was his own choice, but not based on actual observation by him or anyone who has watched Feeley at camp. Most likely he took the term from an article discussing AJ Feeley's performance in late 2004.

I do not mean to denounce Migs' work or anything, I understand what he is trying to do, however, his work should be considered mostly commentary with the understanding that much of it is not firsthand observation.

 I would just like to inform you guys that I don't know what the hell your talking about. I've never even heard of this miamifootball365.com.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to post that much, but I just graduated High School and I'm in the process of getting a job at TV Station. It's a lot of crap to do

Either way I hope to still contribute some this upcomming season. Thanks for caring ;)
