For The People Who Watched The Game...

Man, there is NOTHING worse than a QB controversey in Football.

And for whats its worth, I agree with Awsi. 16 completions for less than 100 yards against third stringers isnt anything to be excited about.

The thing that really bothers me about this whole Q.B. debacle is the freaking hypocrisy around THIS message board...

If Feeley had gone 7-18 for 87 yards and 2 fumbles people on this board would have crucified him...regardless of the dropped passes.

A.J. went 16-20...yes, low yardage but smart football with no turnovers.

I think Nick is in a VERY tough spot right now. Does he go with Gus next week in what looks to be a "dress rehearsal" for the season or does he flip and give A.J. the go?

This week will be interesting...

Another note....I still feel good about this team....I really do but, I think if we ever get behind in games by 10 points we are dead.

One more thing....I think Randy McMichael needs to STFU, catch the ball and go back to the huddle....no celebrating, no nothing...do your DAMN job!

Its almost impossible to justify starting Gus next week. Two starts against the first string resulting in absolutely abysmal showings. AJ on his worst days hasnt looked as bad as gus the last two games. Maybe Gus rebounds against a second string next week but I would be surprised if AJ doesnt start the season

I can't believe the positive reviews for A.J. Feeley in tonight's game. Saban blew me away by praising Feeley in the postgame press briefing, mentioning the 16 for 20.

Yeah, for less than 100 yards. That performance certified beyond argument that Feeley would be a continuing disaster as starting QB. If I'm not mistaken his preseason numbers are below last year's 5.32 yards per attempt ineptitude, which should be next to impossible especially playing against second teamers and with a star talent like David Boston on your unit.

The signature series for Feeley ended the first half. Timeout with 25 seconds remaining from around the Pittsburgh 40. Feeley throws a 2 yard pass. Timeout with 19 seconds remaining. Another 2 yard pass. Then he wanders around with the clock running down, changing the play and the formation, oblivious to the situation and the half ends.

At least Frerotte provides an opportunity for success. He went downfield repeatedly tonight. Not accurate but when you challenge often it just takes a few and those successful strikes will come in time. Mr. Mediocre Marty Booker failed to bring down one long pass when he had all the advantage in body positioning. And McMichael dropped several in a performance that would have had other posters here calling for the gullotine if it had been Donald Lee.

Did you even have your eyes/ears open for this game??? Feeley made 1 thats right 1 MISTAKE (if you can even call it that) as an official you have to call either 1st down or 4th down That's "their" Job! I would not say Feeley was wandering around-I believe HE knew it was not a first down-was prepared to do the only thing he could (for he was lined up in the shotgun) and throw the ball downfield (to the endzone-in case your eyes and ears were STILL SHUT). There was 7 seconds on the clock, do you remember how long it takes to SPOT A BALL??? NUFF SAID ABOUT THAT SO CALLED ERROR ON FEELEY'S PART. The MAN was simply as close to PERFECT as you can get and as far as that Fer-ROT guy well I believe we shipped someone just like him off to the JETS not that long ago-can you remember that??? You say Fer-ROT gave us more opportunities to score? Why didn't we? for the same reasons why AJ couldn't put the points up there, our TEAM could not hold on to it. Come on any idiot can throw the ball deep down the field Feeley completed and kept the chains moving THAT"S WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!!! and as I can recall one of Fer-ROT'S so called deep passes was picked off-and that's a good thing? OK- Time to open your eye's and ear's Game's Over but still Fer-Rot SUCKS.
