FORMER DOLPHINS COACH NOT IMPRESSED WITH FINS OFFENSE FROM OTA VISIT

This is a new scheme, coaching, players ...etc. It will jell and get better, but aside from that it may be a case of playing weak players more to see where they stand in the Oline for example. It may be experimenting a lot, which can net poor results. I would wait a bit before worrying about it.
Westhoff was there for one day....one day.

It's not like this is a theme here. He has a bias and wants to promote his book.

This was bound to happen. Too much too be excited about so the first negative thing said and it gets pounced on. This happens every year yet so many still fall in to the trap.

It's OTA's in June.....relax. Teams look completely different from one week to the next during the season and some of you act like this guys report has doomed us when the season is still 3 months away.

This guy was always a loud mouth jerk......it is OTA's in a brand new offense. What do you expect it to look like? Does he understand the purpose of OTA's? LOL
Come on Stang, don’t you know a OTA practice should look as good and crisp as a practice for the Pats on superbowl week.

Its a learning experience. Just because the highlights are of positive notes, doesn't exactly mean, everything else is great.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Westoff has no reason to lie and gave his hardline views. He might be right?

Don Shula was notorious for running demanding camps. I am sure to a guy like Mike it looked like a bunch of grab-ass.
Sure. Simply the inclusion of music was probably too fun for him and had him scowling like Conrad and Stadler from the muppet show.

Even then, we don't know. By middle of TC we looked good on both sides of the ball. That did not translate to the first few RS games.
You mean like when we where kicking the crap out of the Panthers in a joint practice. Boy are guys sure looked great acting like it was a game and them Panthers where trying to practice. We all remember how that turned out.

Westoff was an excellent ST coach in his day. He's also a known a-hole. As for the actual report, I'm sure it's accurate. It's only June and new coach might think his first priority is to build team camaraderie. Hence, the music. Time to get serious now. If it's as he described come the first PS game, then I'll worry.

Bad practices will occur in OTAs. Not everyone is there or healthy. Trying new stuff.

As many stated, Westhoff is an old school hard nosed guy. I bet the music, fun, and players being treated as adults drive him crazy.

The question will be if McDaniel can become hard nosed when the team poops the bed sometime during the season.

Lots of new faces, new offense, still OTAs....

I just know it takes practice. time and effort to get a bunch of people working together like a well oiled machine.

I doubt many teams invite coaches that have an axe to grind against them to their practice. More than likely it's a fair observences. I believe it was the same practice that Omar and others said Tua made several nic throws, ut in general the offense struggled most of the practice. I'm not too worried we don't know th details or the cause of the struggles. For example if the offense was focusing on areas that they have issues with and that they're trying to iron out some kinks, we should expepect raggged play until those issues are resolved through reputition and coaching.
I was trying to make fun of the poster that claimed the same thing about Albert Wilson and his criticism of Flores
