But it still doesn't excuse the Dolphins for not handling this appropriately.
An what exactly is "inappropriate" in the way the Dolphins handled this?

Mr. obnoxious, what gives you the right to limit my commentary? Is that not what this forum is for? Or is it only for commentary that defends the Dolphins hierarchy against any and all actions they take, good or bad? If there weren't constant negative media stories related to the Dolphins to comment on, my honest commentaries (which are viewed by some as whining) wouldn't appear so frequently. So if people have an issue with the "frequency" of my posts, they are only frequent because the issues that arise are frequent. Again, I don't create the story, I just comment on it.

You are assuming he was a college scout. What if he was a advanced scout who watched and broke down the next team?

OK, what "if?" (that might even be worse and more reason to hate Parcells,) LOL
4-12, 9-7, 6-10, 1-15, 11-5, 7-9, 7-9, 6-10, 7-9, 8-8
This is as ludicrous as blaming Boeing for the Asiana pilots hitting a Seawall!
If that's the true reason then it's pretty reprehensible. However if his scouting work output was to the detriment of the team where he essentially went through the motions civil service-style with a sense of entitlement that he was Teflon due to his wife, then I can't blame a new GM with his back to the wall on a do or die short leash for demanding the best support group possible.
Actually fishing for reasons why an incoming GM should be prohibited from clearing the deck of the detritus associated with past failure, whether it be drafting or game scouting, especially since wholesale staff changes happen with other teams on a regular basis is truly is as ridiculous as insisting a new HC must keep certain members of his coaching staff even if they don't coincide with his offensive and defensive visions. :idk: But in this case, i gave you reasons why the entire coaching staffs of several regimes drafted poorly and then gave you reasons why the fruits of advance game scouting were essentially poisoned.
If someone would rather sue and try to blackmail an employer into keeping him rather than testing his value in the free market, well, **** him - this is not civil service.
Did they actually clear house? Are all the scouts new? Or did they select just one because they don't like his work from home status?
Do you ever stop whining about the Dolphins? Why are you even here?
I don't think this guy would be let go if he was doing a great job. Hickey must have read up on his body of work and concluded he was expendable.
it's your right to feel and say anything you want, but to be truthful about an 8-8 team, shouldn't there be some positive posts to go with the negative?Ah, so the truth upsets you?
Better to be truthful about the team than a blinded homer.
