Former Dolphins scout threatening to sue the team after contract not renewed

i'm not limiting your commentary. i'm calling bull**** on the Dolphins being responsible for you whining and complaining. there's only one person who's responsible for that, and you're exactly the right recipient of the ciritcism for the "frequency" of those negative posts.

This is as ludicrous as blaming Boeing for the Asiana pilots hitting a Seawall!

Actually fishing for reasons why an incoming GM should be prohibited from clearing the deck of the detritus associated with past failure, whether it be drafting or game scouting, especially since wholesale staff changes happen with other teams on a regular basis is truly is as ridiculous as insisting a new HC must keep certain members of his coaching staff even if they don't coincide with his offensive and defensive visions. :idk: But in this case, i gave you reasons why the entire coaching staffs of several regimes drafted poorly and then gave you reasons why the fruits of advance game scouting were essentially poisoned. :up:

If someone would rather sue and try to blackmail an employer into keeping him rather than testing his value in the free market, well, **** him - this is not civil service.

Did they actually clear house? Are all the scouts new? Or did they select just one because they don't like his work from home status?

I dunno, but given the entire body of draft and game scouting detritus that was left behind, perhaps a wholesale bloodletting is needed to start completely fresh. And if that's not the case, who's to say they didn't offer to help him relocate to the Davie area if they thought enough of him? Again, extortion/blackmail and embarrassment is a card played by someone who's trying to hold on because they know in their hearts of heart that the open market will not be beating a path to their doors.

edit: IMO what Ross should do is pay her medical fees for the next 12 months which gives this scout plenty of time to find another job if he's worthwhile, and then have a few months to vest in for the health insurance coverage at the next team. That would be a generous gesture and give the scout some breathing room despite his willingness to extort, blackmail and embarass.
 
I don't think this guy would be let go if he was doing a great job. Hickey must have read up on his body of work and concluded he was expendable.

Exactly. Just like Kacy Rogers is a fixture in this organization regardless of regime cleansing. why? because he is invaluable in his capacity. You're only let go if you're expendable, that's the main reason why I never even went down the road of "is he doing a good job", I'm sure that question was more than raised.

it's your right to feel and say anything you want, but to be truthful about an 8-8 team, shouldn't there be some positive posts to go with the negative?
 
If he fired him because he didn't want him to work from home the dolphins have a problem.....if it was work related and documented then he doesn't stand a chance especially if Florida is a right to work state....

Oh wait, this is about his wife, not sure this will do more than hurt the Dolphins image, don't think they are bound by ADA if its a spouse....

Being blind works both ways. People believing their team is better than it actually is, and people believing their team is worse than it actually is. This clown is the latter.
