Gay, Boone, and Williams all leaving?

I never blame guys for leaving early, I get disappointed whne the heels lsoe players early but I understand where they are coming from.

It all depends on thier skill level and backround. Alot of guys aren't ready yet but they'll leave anyways just because there gonna be a first round pick and they figure they could use that money to help themselves and thier family out.

Gay is setting himself up to do exactly what Villanueva did...He will blow up in the nba just watch and see. Top 5 pick

Marcus Williams is the most ready to play of the 3...only question with him is his speed, hes not slow but hes not a burner on the court...he beats you with his passing skills and dribbling skills. Late Lottery Pick based on his off the court problems...with out those problems he could be a top 5 pick

Boone at times has looked excellent this season and at times hes disappeared...Hes a good all around player that needs to show up every game...will still be a 1st round pick though. Top 25 pick

Boone, Gay and Williams all gone? Wow, what a f***in' tragedy. Go 'Cuse.

I disagree. Point guards usually take at least a year before they're ready for the NBA, especially those who come out after an abbreviated freshman year. The Chris Pauls of the world, who are top 5 point guards by the all-star break of their rookie year, are few and far between. Williams will be very good, but he won't make the biggest impact of the three right away. That will be Gay.

UCONN will re-load.........but next year will be a rough year. No two ways about it. UCONN might have an un-UCONN-like year next year.

Never said that williams would make the biggest impact right away...I said williams is the most nba ready right now...I actually believe the biggest impact will be gay as well...put him on a team like charlotte who is surrounding with lots of young talent and good fast paced defensive players and he could fit right in

Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Raymond Felton, Hinrich, Ford, Jameer Nelson, Devin Harris, Luther Head....all were or currently are impact players in their rookie seasons. Williams would be a starter from day one on most lottery teams.

I highly doubt Charlotte drafts Gay. Bickerstaff has consistantly drafted players who have excelled at the college level. Morrison is more likely to be taken if the Bobcats get a pick that high.

Gay has the talent to go number 1, but probably won't due to his passion, or lack there of.

IMO the best place for Gay is Toronto. He won't have to be the number 1 option (Bosh, Villanueva, MoPete, and James if he resigns will all get shots before him), he won't have to defend the best wing player (Graham is developing into the defensive specialist), and he won't have to carry a team like most rookie wingmen (Calderon is a very good PG, and came just short of a couple triple doubles earlier this year).

Williams is harder to project where he will go. Some scouts love him, but not all (loved his ability to take over games in the clutch, but hated how much he turned it over in the tourney.) IMO the best place for him is Philly (another guard to penetrate and help AI,CWebb)

Boone will be a late 1st rounder, and will not fall pass the Nets.

to answer someone question, yes Brown and Anderson both should be drafted, but they will be 2nd round picks. Brown will be drafted before Anderson, but RA is too good of a shooter to not get drafted

Very true on bickerstaff too bad the word is hes going to be fired...Morrison would fit in excellent as well though despite being slow and not being able to play defense it wouldnt hurt him cause charlotte is so athletic and good on defense. Im seriously psyched about this team for next year...going to be tough

Marcus Williams most fits in for the lottery these two teams

Minnesota - With a PG here there back in the mix for the playoffs
Houston - Alston still hasnt been able to effectively run the floor for this team

Depending on where charlotte picks in this draft I'd say the 3 most likely players for them to grab are

1. Adam Morrison
2. Tyrus Thomas
3. Rudy Gay

Though I still wouldnt rule out charlotte taking there pick and packaging it with brevin knight [who is rumored to be out next season with felton on board] for a great shooter...maybe paul pierce

I agree with every thing you said very good points. Gay needs to play up to his abilities if he wants to be the player that all these people think he is.

My Rockets sure did pick a good year to suck. Just look at all of the players that will be in the draft. We will have many, many options to choose from with a top 10 pick(should be a top 10).

Heres my evaluation of there pick

Right now if the draft was today they'd pick #9 overall from right there...there are many different options but the two ones i'd narrow it down to are

PG and PF

They did a great job of getting a good off the bench player in Luther Head who may eventually develop into a starting SG moving Tmac to SF. But right now rafer alston to me is a bench player at best...the kids proved time after time that he cant run the floor...I know you look at his numbers over 6 apg but that doesnt mean he can run the floor. Right here i'd look at Marcus Williams PG UCONN and if he declares Josh McRoberts PF Duke to replace Juwan Howard who is getting up there in age...But to now narrow it down to one

Im going to say they still believe in Alston to run the point and there pick in the 2006 NBA Draft is Josh McRoberts PF Duke

*just praying the "Gay is coming out" jokes will be at a minimum til the draft*

Head shouldn't be starting anytime soon for us and he will likely be our 6th man next season. T-Mac is already playing SF, but he had to play SG most of this year because of injuries. He probably will move back to SF next season because he seems to do well there. I have said this numerous times and I will say it again. Alston looked like a good PG out there when both T-Mac and Yao are healthy. He is the one who gives Yao the ball alot and he is one of the reasons why Yao did so good this yera because he actually passed him the ball unlike some other guards we have/had.
